the truth is shows on ITV dont keep running because of content but because of loyal fan following who stick with the show through thick and thin. Shows like KKB, YUDBH have it. We dont. so I cannot say if we will make it post June.
No show is without its flaws. RLHN has its own ones even though stil it remains the most unique show out there today. but expectations r so high n fan reactions so volatile that it has to make us an unsteady fandom from a PH and channel perspective. one that they cannot necessarily bank on to stand by them the way other shows can when they are changing tracks or transitioning tracks.
With our show, some of us have come with lot of expectations of what they didnt see in swaragini and wanted to see in RLHN. some with what we liked in PPK but cannot be shown in RLHN coz of ban risk/genre is slightly diff. the strong female lead and flirty male lead who we want to stay the same but also at the same time mature, be responsible, be in love, etc etc. so our show has constant comparison to these shows + RLHN expectations itself and what happened and not vs what is desired vs not. this is what the other shows arent facing as much. there ppl are watching the show to know the story (what little is there), see FL/ML fight bad people n still be together and living through the experience. here we are comparing it with our existing mind plot + expectations.
we are quick with our reactions when things dont match thoseexpectations...and most of the times our reactions arent always modulated. not something to be blamed for, since we get emotional but what is equally true is that this is never something that can help a show survive for long.
i know some ppl will be offended by me saying this but i do now worry that what will close our show in june ...and it can really be that soon...will be our own reactions.
