He is a good actor and has appeared in successful/decent movies like Haider, Hazaron Khwaishen Aisi Bhi, Sarkar, Black Friday, Gulaal, to name a few.

So they were supporting roles, right? Working in supporting roles doesn't really help in BW, one have to do leading role or meatier role to stay relevant in BW but sad that many talented people in BW are not getting good roles or good movies while many non-talented people are getting chance after chance.
