Do they have a list for leading actors as well ?? I m sure Srk would be in the top then .

PC had the makings of a superstar..but film choices/the current environment she wont achieve that kind of super stardom..Dostana was her film ...barfi, saat khoon maaf she was outstanding.. I dont know why she decided to do stupid stuff like pyar impossible, teri meri kahani etc..

LMAO the craze for google trends. Teenagers use too much internet but do not go to watch her movies. I don't see a single movie of hers making more than 120 crores. This article with mention of Alia is an insult to real female superstars from Bollywood.

Only Sridevi and Madhuri can be considered female superstars, objectively speaking. No other actress got close to that level of stardom.


I see the word superstar thrown around very loosely around here.

In all honesty, I feel that Madhuri and Sri Devi were the last super stars, with Sri being a pan-indian superstar (a title that's going to be impossible for another actress to attain). None of the current crop are superstars. When you call PC or DP a superstar, I feel that the term superstar is loosely used. Yes, they are successful, but they never commanded the same power Madhuri and Sri did. None of the current actresses are a complete package. Moreover, their range of roles, as compared to Sri and Madhuri, is so much less. PC has the range of roles down, but she isn't a complete package and didn't pick her roles well. Further proofs that current actresses aren't superstars are that none of them are consistently paid more than their co-actors, have roles specifically written for them and have not proven their ability to make movies hits with new actors and directors. When an actress can achieve all this, she'll be a superstar. I can't exactly pinpoint what's specifically wrong with the movie situation today, but it seems difficult for a female superstar to be created in current times.

When someone calls the likes of Karisma kareena superstars I can only laugh.

And actresses like Aish who had neither commercial nor critical success. 😆 I think you need BOTH along with possessing a certain charisma to be called a superstar.
