It's Official! Madhuri Dixit steps into Sridevi's shoes for Shiddat

We were the first ones to tell you that Madhuri Dixit was all set to step into Sridevi's shoes for her next film, Shiddat. Late actress Sridevi had signed Abhishek Varman's next directorial and was supposed to start shooting from mid-2018. However after the actress passed away suddenly, the makers were in a fix. They did not want to rush in to fill her role, while they did not want to delay the film either. After a week or two, the makers had approached a couple of actresses (with the blessings of the Kapoors), including Madhuri Dixit, who instantly gave a nod. And while the reports were dismissed as baseless', looks like our sources were bang on once again! An official announcement was made today (March 19), by none other than Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor.

Janhvi revealed on Instagram, when she posted a picture of Madhuri and Sridevi, with a caption that read, "Abhishek Varman's next film was very close to mom's heart. Dad, Khushi and I are thankful to Madhuriji for now being a part of this beautiful film. Isn't that such a sweet touch to the announcement? Not only do we applaud the Kapoor, but hats off to Madhuri for accepting the role too. So what do you guys have to say about Madhuri Dixit being a part of Shiddat? Madhuri is too small to fill Sridevi's big shoes. She won't even be able to do half the justice that Sridevi would have done to this role.

There's NO ONE in this world who can fill/match up to Sridevi. But only Madhuri comes close.. & hence she was chosen. Or else nobody else can do justice to a role made for Sridevi.

Also to praise one legend, we don't need to criticize another legend. Because both are legends & 2 of the biggest female stars of Bollywood.

I RESPECTFULLY disagree. I don't know who was a bigger star, but Madhuri isn't a really good actress. She is more of a dancer than an actress. There are much better actresses who can come close to Sridevi, and Madhuri is not one of them. Vidya for example.
