Deepika Padukone on Irrfan Khan's health: We should respect that space

A while back, fans were left in a state of
disarray when Irrfan Khan revealed that he
was diagnosed with a rare disease and has
been away from the spotlight since then,
asking everyone for some much needed
privacy.
Irrfan had shared on Twitter, "Sometimes
you wake up with a jolt with life shaking
you up. The last fifteen days, my life has
been a suspense story. Little had I known
that my search for rare stories would make
me find a rare disease. I have never given up
and have always fought for my choices and
always will."
"My family and friends are with me and we
are working it out the best way possible. In
trying times, please don't speculate as I will
myself share with you my story within a
week ten days when the further
investigations come with a conclusive
diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me,"
the actor added.
Due to Irrfan's illness, Vishal Bhardwaj's
next which stars Irrfan and Deepika
Padukone has been put on hold. The movie
was supposed to go on floors in Nepal on
March 5.
At a recent award show, Deepika was asked
about Irrfan's health and the actor stated,
"Like he has requested, there are times
when people just need to be left alone for
sometime and figure their lives out. And I
think we should respect that space that he
has requested for. Like we said, let's hope
for the best."
