She came like a hurricane
Turned everything over in her wake
Standing in the midst of a mess so insane
She smiled a beautiful one, for my heart to awake
She's crazy, messy, all kinds of vexing
She touches but a spot in me, right in my heart
She is that hand on my shoulder that assures me
Clears the muddles and makes it all clear.
Sometimes I'm afraid of how much I love her
So much treasure in a body of flesh and bones
I cringe at the idea of mere mortality so dear
in the wake of what she means to me.
So I hold her a little tighter whenever I can
As she wiggles and impishly smiles,
