Mrinal's family is named as Chalukya vansh today. So the show us trying to show real things instead of being fictional.

According to K.M Munshi's novel, Manyakhet is present Malkhet, which is near Hyderabad. But I never heard of Mrinal before despite being a Hyderabadi. (Zero knowledge here, so please answer me if anyone knows 😳)

As per Wiki of Tailap 2 he was indeed the founder of western Chalukya dynasty in Southern India

This the info I got from Wiki 😆

Mrinal is mentioned in few texts but even I don't have full knowledge about this

Chalukya dynasty is a prominent dynasty in Indian history n facts...

But Princess Mrinal's role isn't in any way significantly mentioned

So she is bound to be fictionalised heavily in any medium!

But the makers of PV have done a fabulous job of portraying a princess of a bygone era in such a rare avtaar👏

n from the beginning of the show, they have been clear about the Manyakhet Royals belonging to the Chalukya dynasty
