In 2016-17 the buzz was that the super successful Ekta Kapoor was going to curtail the film business

But what has changed so much , she is announcing multiple films one after another

Already in kitty are

Veere di wedding

Kedarnath

Upcoming ones

1. two films with ashwini yer tiwari

2. one movie with imtiaz ali

3. One movie on verghese kurien

4. one movie with rajkumar rao-kangana

5. One movie with alankrita shrivastava

In addition Alt Balaji app is doing quite well,

Kundali Bhagya , Kumkum Bhagya top shows in BARC,plus upcoming Naagin 3 is most awaited in colors.

Jio had signed a 400cr deal with Balaji. Maybe she siphoned some money from there and investing in her films. Anyways Ekta Kapoor like KJo is a compulsive liar so what she says should be taken lightly. I feel Ekta, Karan and Adi Chopra are three people who can and never leave films in their lifetimes. Films run in their blood. At best she would have a temporary break to recoup her losses and she did it in the past too when her first innings where she would only cast Tushar and Anita in her films went for a toss. All her films are small budget and only one going out of budget was Kedarnath but thats KriArj's headache now rather than hers.

Actually more than Balaji I wondering about Shree Narayan Singh. He directed a disaster called Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai in 2012 and disappeared. Then suddenly resurfaced with TEPK in 2017 which I assume clicked more due to Akki. Now suddenly he is a big shot. He is directing one movie for Ekta Kapoor and producing two more with KriArj. How come this meteoric rise?

All the money she is earning from TV, She is pumping it into film productions

oh yes Shree N singh is now a big shot director

His Batti Gul meter chalu is getting bigger price in market too.

Hum log bhi chalte hain balaji telefilms ke office at andheri east ,and tell her to finance some of our stories as she has lots of money

He did not disappear. He used to edit for Neeraj Pandey's films. I think that's how he landed TEPK with Akki.
