EDT~ ep. 78~7.2.18 My stance. Heart and soul..
Both form the hub, nucleus, and the centre of a person. Shiv and Sharanya mean an entirety, a completion to each other. With one less of the others affection, takes away the others energy. Together they mean a continuity and progression of what was, and still is, despite providence's cruel attempt to sever the heart from the soul. The heart may cease to beat, but the soul lives on in some form or another. As humans many times we fail to sense the soul. It only manifests itself when humans allow their soul to let it enrich their lives.
Shiv was a lost soul, without near and dear ones. Till Sharanya came into his life and spontaneously he laid bare his heart and soul before her. Shiv had found his soul mate. After the bitter ,harsh, cold winter in his life. The snows thawed and new life of spring and warm summer , connected Shiv and his Sharanya by heart and soul. Vyom saw himself as the life and soul of every occurrence in life. His heart and soul too was set for Sharanya. Her rejection he never accepted, as to him too , the issue was , and in fact still is, about his heart and soul. The episode is about what is seen and what is unseen. The heart can be seen and sensed. The soul can be felt ,but one cannot really put one's finger on it! But it s there! The pith of a person.
To me the episode has some great references about hiding, fogging, clouding up reality. There is talk about hide and seek which further suggests, concealed issues, others aspire to reveal.. one hides and the other seeks..
The assumption once was , Shiv being a roaming restless spirit was evil. But then the deities heed to prayers of both the wicked and the good. Shiv's communication with his personal deity is informal, concise and ever so sincere. He describes his being.. neither here not there.. hanging midway between heaven and earth. With a contrite heart and soul he seeks divine guidance in determining the right way.
Vyom too seeks peace of his heart and soul.. No gods he needs!! But for him Sadhvi's frozen cold ,dead body, is his oracle!! This makeshift morgue offers Vyom therapy !As here he talks and the expired body only listens to all, As one by one he repeats his predicament .Both his heart and soul are aware that Sharanya lies progressively and what's more she does it to conceal something from him, and this drives his soul to be very dark! He puts on theatrics again, before Sadhvis cold storage body. Vyom puts on a mock act of lightly owning up but then he denies his dark deeds. To me its the confidence in his heart and soul that makes Vyom believe nothing can go wrong with him. Vyom really comes to gain access to Sadhvi's mobile phone. Sharanya keeps him guessing, she is onto something? But what? Vyom hates being in the dark! He's the king of eluding others! Like now he drinks milk! Instead of alcohol!.. No one's going to search for the truth Vyom hides within him. His hot glass of milk contradicts the frozen ices cubes that renders a dead Sadhvi near enough alive for him! It 's the contradictions in his character ,that iron out creased situations for Vyom! he transgresses, then offers justifications to himself! Really he keeps Sadhvi.. As his winning trophy which in this case. may lead him to uncover that which Sharanya hides from him! In fact this game of hide and seek both Vyom and Sharanya play with panache! He plays hoax text messages between a dead soul and a living soul! Just to satisfy his curiosity!or is Vyom being hounded by his dark deeds?? But his impatience, rings alarm bells for Shiv and Sharanya! They need to be on guard against the hungry all suspecting Vyom!
Leading up to the kitchen scene.. its obvious Vyom tails her, but Sharanya wards his every effort off, his flirting romantic interaction of husband and wife making and preparing culinary delights! It 's amusing when he jests, she can make him any dish, except make him a fool! That would be distasteful!
Clandestine things are on the cards. Sharanya's meeting with Ajeet regards the suspect car. Vyom keeping Sharanya under survelliance through the CCTV eye in the kitchen. Shiv alerts her. Sharanya proves she is not just a pretty face but a brainy dame! She like Vyom excels at hiding things. Vyom can search all he can! His vision will seem blurred! Things will appear condensed and unclear! Putting a steaming pot of hot milk [ Vyom drink] under the camera, clouds the lens and she makes a hasty get away to meet Ajeet in the garage at the rear of the house!
Yet again Vyom sharp rationale gathers water vapour and renders him being hoodwinked at the hands of the strategic ,scientific, smart, Sharanya. Shiv's heart and soul melts with much affection at her presence of mind. He had to congratulate this Shiv's Sharanya! Mind you! how could he even doubt her ability? He recalls, that scene in the science lab when she made big time, cheeky, flirty passes at him. His manner was, distant, studious, and aloof. How she found him standoffish! even grabbed him by the collar to shake some, chivalry into him! he chuckles now. Sharanya never failed to amaze him back in the day! When she steamed up the teachers vision, so she could get up to no good with the good, shy lofty Shiv! Now Shiv stares at her.. the girl still has enough steam in her to trap all the Bedi's in a thick blanket of fog! Lovely nostalgic scene between two connected by the heart and soul!!
Although Sharanya's mannerisms make her appear one with a weak mind.. the girl talks to herself? She baffles Vyom,if only loving her was not enough! Her every word seems an innuendo, her every move ,fogs Vyom's heart, mind and soul with DOUBT.. what is she all about? what is she hoping to find??
But for Shiv and Sharanya, let the ones with body succumb to its hurts. Their two hearts and souls unite at every given moment and re live what the once had.. for life is too short. Sharanya will make sure that Sharanya's Shiv too lives for the moment!
The hide and seek continues.. this time between Rati and Sharanya! This collision is unexpected. Sharanya had locked Vyom..so no chance of him being hot on her heels. But Rati learns enough about Sharanya's whereabouts and where she was heading out for. Rati sets Vyom free and lucky for him! he knows where Sharanya was and for what purpose too.. but then again, saving the car is secondary for Vyom. the primary issue is to clear the fog off his mind!
Vyom sees it go up in flames.. only Sharanya is in for the bigger surprise! Tongues of fire cover the burning chassis of the car... Shiv!shiv! is the word that matters to her. The name hammers Vyom's brain too.. her delirious horror, with the loud and clear words from her mouth.. Shiv I lost you once! Won't let it happen again!.. well then. Vyom's doubt gets confirmed again.. Shiv is about?? she still has Shiv in her heart and soul.. how can a madly in love man, fight the soul of a dead lover??? Hamlet53 8.2.18
Interesting episode, romance, suspense, smart moves, letting off steam, reliving memories, and being fooled ! Namik,Vyom Donal put life in the episode. Makes me wonder, the evidence is reduced to ashes.. and Vyom's vision is clear.. will sharanya get the breakthrough she needs? may be Madhvi will be her saviour??
