i disagree shahid and deepika were the welcome relief in the loudness of the khiljis. deepika's speech at the end, her dialogue delivery was shaky at the beginning but then she improved. shahid's lines were repetitive but his dialogue delivery was anything but bad. he did great with what he was given, if shahid hadn't been restrained the movie would have been something else completely. shahid and deepika were depicted as the light against the darkness of ranveer's khilji. slb just didn't tell their story and only was more interested in framing khilji's character. In which bollywood movie does the villain get the longer songs than the heroine? padmavati was watchable but would have been much better with more of the hero and heroine in the movie and less of the villain and his sidekicks. but everyone i know said it was too loud and too violent.

we totally believe you 🥱

if there was more shahid in the film, maybe you would be the only one who will watch it 😆

you and the Karni sena, Shahid was the weakest part, it's better to accept it and move on

Movie was overhyped and story not as exciting

Ranveer did overact

Deepika was useless

And cinematography looked FAKE

Almost felt like a skin-care commercial...To me - that scene looked like Deepika was a goan-wali visiting a maharani in a palace

Actually I had not seen any of Aditi's movies before. I was so impressed when I saw her on screen that I even googled Aditi rao hydari skincare routine.😳 Only thing is that she doesn't have much height, but I feel she is in good shape that way. And I am a neutral viewer that way, not a hardcore fan of any celebrity. I really loved deepika in Piku & Cocktail. But In Padmavat, I thought her character would be strong. Plus Shahid and Deepika had zero chemistry. But I guess SLB gave too much importance & dialogues to Khiljis & kafurs role then the titular role.

Movie thrived only on controversy over some scenes which were removed from the final prints. Yes it was too much brawl over something which could have been resolved peacefully but that would not have helped push the poorly scripted Padmavat and it would vanished without any trace. Over rated or Under rated, all this helped SLB come closer to recovering the high costs of production and be face saver.

He is ugly and pretty average from all standards. Doesn’t look like a Bollywood hero material at all. I’m pretty sure he will flop within 2...
