Was watching Daawat e ishq the other day, such a fun film with so many cute moments. Why on earth did it not work?

I keep watching De Dana Dan every time it is showing too. It is fun to watch. No idea why it didn't click.

I am sure there are more that I cannot recall at this moment.

Lootera. It was a commercial failure right? To this day,its remains one of the most beautiful movies I've ever had the pleasure to see on the big screen. The story, the chemistry between Ranveer-Sona,the hauntingly beautiful bg music, the poetry in the the silence of it all --- its such a pretty lil gem. I never cry at the movies but I was literally drowning in tears in the end even though I have read the original story and had an inkling how it was gonna turn out. The different layers to the characters is something so unseen in Hindi cinema. Everyone was human and that was their biggest flaw. I wish it had gotten the appreciation it truly deserved.

It is one of my eternal favourites too. But most critics liked it.

Agree.. this is one film that a lot of people like, but didn't receive much appreciation when it released. I love the film's music.

Department... don't remember anything about the movie but I remember liking it, could be because of my soft spot for RGV films :p

Talking of commerical failures from 90s and early 2000s which I re watch many times even now because I do not think we had critics then.
Andaz Apna Apna, Phir bhi Dil hai hindustani, Swades, Khamoshi, Tumko Na Bhool payenge, Deewane Huye Pagal & few other mindless comedy movies.
