Sana Amin Sheikh and Kinshuk Mahajan's track to end on Zee TV's Bhootu

The makers of Zee TV's Bhootu made an overnight decision of ending the track of the lead Sana Amin Sheikh and Kinshuk Mahajan. Sana expressed her displeasure about the same to a leading daily.

Sana Amin Sheikh and Kinshuk Mahajan are the leads on the show Bhootu which airs on Zee TV. The show started airing from last year and is based on a cute little ghost.

Now as per reports in a leading daily, Kinshuk and Sana will be no more a part of the show. The makers have decided to end their characters and there will be no show by them from the month of February.

Talking about it, Sana stated to the daily, "Neither did they give us a reason, nor did we ask them. In fact, our show is doing well in the early evening slot. I guess it's a creative experiment and the producers want to turn it into a kids' show."

She further spoke about how unfair these decisions are for actors. Sana added, "It is indeed very disheartening. Actors are the most vulnerable on a TV show's set. If you are the protagonist, you will not be able to do more than one show at a time. So, once the project ends, you have to start hunting for work again. Such a scenario causes insecurity among actors. I am fortunate that I am an RJ and I am quite satisfied with my acting career. I go with the flow and have even done cameos after playing lead characters. I believe that as an artiste, my job is to perform, irrespective of the length of the character. I am still positive and there is no bad blood between the producers of Bhootu and me. We worked hard for seven months and now, it feels like our exams are finally over. I just want to clarify that contrary to the reports that we have been asked to leave or we are exiting the show, the truth is that our tracks are ending."

Sana concluded by saying, "Many new actors assume that their shows will run for an indefinite period and are left heartbroken when they end abruptly. I would advise them to save the money they make in the first two years; that will help them sail through the difficult times."

Without Sana Sheikh and Kinshuk Mahajan's romantic track, there's no reason to watch the show. Turning it into a kids' show completely is a bad idea. Kids have other things to do at this time slot like homework and watch too much television already.

I was not that much interested in the romance but I must say if Sana and Arshiya were the soul of the show then Kinshuk and Sana were the heart of the show !! The show had a variety of elements, Bhootu child moments with Gopal (for children), Aarav-Suchi romance moments (for romance lovers) and Pihu-Anandita and Pihu-Suchi moments giving rise to the emotional angle.. It had every element for all sorts of viewers..

Now turning it into a kids show is a big mistake because obviously children do not keep updated with the latest on tv like us, so unless they just happen to watch it they won't. And will school going children be loyal viewers of the show? The answer is obviously no!! As you said there are many more things like homework and other stuff to watch on tv anyways!!

The Most Stupidiest thing has been done in Bhootu by removing such Brilliant Top Actors Kinshuk Mahajan & Sana Amin Sheikh when they got instantly so Popular as Aarav Shuchi . Will always lovee KinSa / AarHi .

Do they really think this Show will even survive without KinSa even for month ? Isse kehte hai Kulhaari pe Pura ka pura Paed maar daalna .

Today's scene of Aarav saving Suchi and the intensity that spoke only through their eyes were enough to show how powerful they are as actors. How on earth could the makers think they could let them go so easily?? And they have been using them for promos and precaps esp for this week anyway!! What will they show from next week??

dikhane ko toh kuchh bhi dikha sakthey hai naa🤔,they ran so many episodes without bhootu,without gopal,kabhi ek mom badal ke,toh ek mom with full family nikal ke🤪 ,aasman se tapki pscyco sister and what not😆-toh writing team😉 kuch na kuch khichdi pakaa hi lenge😆...

Shayad new tenants coming to live in the house ,unki story family with kids...yaa phir leap ke baadd anandita shubodh return ,lekin twist- new baby ke saath😛..apni bhootu will surely get jealous big time😛😊

The thing is this type of stuff is unfair for the actors who have families to look for.

You can't just fire an actor randomly like that

Plus, I don't think much kids are interested in bhootu and serials like that TBH. They are more likely to watch Doraemon and Chhota Bhim IMO.

Exactly why the hell thin that Kids will watch an Evening Slot show just cozthe show will revolve around a Kid ? Do the Kids even sit for 10 mins infront of TV now ? They r more buzy in mobile gadgets or watching Cartoons . Such a Bad bad Idiotic move . They forgot that this show got popular coz It was watched by whole Family mostly . Now why the Families will be interested in watching the same thing of Bhootu and her Mom Crying Crying & Crying 🥱 . Usse aacha koi aache restaurant mein Dinner karne naa jaaye ?

Pathetic that they had such Wonderful actors like Kinshuk & Sana and such Fab Jodi & Love story . They could have shown so much unique beautiful things revolving around AarHi & Pihu post their marriage . But No They prefered to keep someone else instead of KinSa 😡

Exactly, I agree with you.

Well, there are reasons I always think Indian TV executives and producers are fools who neither understand the viewers nor they want to.This is my view on this, might be a bit offensive but there is no way out:

1)Most kids and even adults are out for school, tuitions, playing in the park , jobs and etc etc at 6:30 pm.

And even if they are home , kids have self study to do and many adults do have work reserved for home too.

And even if the kids are even busy in entertainment at this time, watching a Hindi TV show is not even their last Option.

So the viewer pool is extremely low at 6:30 pm, comprising only of bored housewives who have nothing else to do.

Even then, more popular channels SP and Colors also run shows at this time slot.

So if Zee thinks their show will bring 10+ trp at 6:30 pm , then they are brain dead Idiots.

2)They are not even making Bhootu a show kids might watch.

It is again the same old family drama with 100+ vamps .

And you know, I have actually noticed kids preferring shows with adult stars instead of the types like Udaan, Naamkaran, Balika Vadhu ,Uttaran , where the kids behave or atleast tend to mouth and deal with lives like an adult.

This type of tearjerker shows starring kids in central roles are actually popular with the adults.

Kids like to see shows with predominantly children cast and problems oriented around children's daily life struggles

3)I read in some random site that this was planned from beginning and essential for the story.

But I read an official interview from Sana (the reason I'm actually here) that she was informed of the decision to fire her overnight.(I think this is the article posted here in this post too)

And that is the problem.

If they knew the story beforehand , why not inform Sana and Kinshuk that they're being hired for a limited time While signing them ?

Or at least have the decency to inform them a month earlier?

Hell, actors have families to look after.

Why treat them with a chappal when they're putting their best efforts to bring success to your shows?

4)I don't watch this show so I won't comment about the storyline.

But this show is getting decent trps with Kinshuk and Sana so why the producers are actually being Kalidasa and cutting the very branch of the tree they're sitting in ?

I think the trps actually increased when KM entered.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

If they think focusing on KinSa is reducing the scope of Bhootu and Family , then just shift the focus to them while keeping KinSa on background and check if the trps are coming better.

There are 1000 of ways to get trps without kicking out actors from show overnight.
