EDT~ ep. 69~25.1.18 My stance: The downfall..
It's an old feeling ,almost, vintage, classic and valuable.. but the old keeps coming up as new, fresh and very much there! That ancient ingrained love between a mother and son. The episode is more about Vyom's excluded loneliness. He lets out his emotional scarring. His mother's downfall, is seen more as her failing to meet his expectations. Being her son, both in the past to the present is about Vyom being forced to witness his mother's under performance ,whereever it concerned him!
Shiv/Sharanya's love, is characterized by a touch of vintage.. mature ,lasting with an enduring appeal that flows from their past to the present. Vyom could never grasp that very essence of their love. Strange encounters with objects linked to their past crop up! to keep the old from being outdated! Its no accident that they end up in an old garage that holds a piece of evidence for Shiv. Vyom's vintage car!Shiv spotted in his last dying moments. Makes me wonder has the car been left there as a collector's item by Vyom? or is it solid evidence left behind by Shiv's killer? Also seeing that it was Madhvi who chose the garage as the meeting venue with Sharanya, is the mother underhandedly incriminating her son Vyom??? it's over to Sharanya to work out on her own ? as Shiv suddenly does a disappearing act! Sharanya concludes, he may have gone to check what's delaying Madhvi?
Even in her senses she sounded drunk, in the past episode, Vyom had commented at her reluctance to reveal where she was heading for? In reality! a scuffle ends up in Madhvi's nasty fall down the stairs. Ingeniously, though somehow accidents just happen by Vyom.. Here, for me he enacts the scene he will narrate later on, mother lives in a daze, forgets to take her medicines.. consequence of which she suffered a nasty fall! Madhvi's drinking habit comes in handy, yet again, as Vyom too will grab it as a plausible reason to get away from actually causing his mothers mishap.
Sharanya's investigative skills, activate. From the vintage car, she seeks new evidence to further the identity of the culprit. Blood stains on the car seat , gives her reason to speculate possibilities , blood stains were firm evidence against Shiv's killer! hope she refers this to a forensic team? Sharanya searches for clues objectively , although for her too emotional smarting exists.. but for Vyom, fishing out for his mothers motive is something else!
The mother son scene at the bottom of the stairs, reminds me of the term vintage.. as yield of a particular ,crop, harvest. Vyom is for Madhvi the fruit of her womb! But, this falldown, with his state of mind, Madhvi I am sure wonders the kind of crop she is harvesting? Rotten to the core. Seeing Vyom lying next to his mother..coaxing her for hugs, singing her lullabies! appears to be part and parcel of her downfall. For a moment , his craving for his mothers love adds a touch of pathos for him. I do wonder if the content that he releases about himself has any truth to it ? or is he practicing deceit? An easy cover up for what happens? One minute he sounds like a deprived boy whose mother never supported him, in the old days.. right up till now. Next second, he blames his mother, for making him feel, alone, lonely .. she never understood his happiness! Always opposed it! Of recent Sharanya was his happiness! To the extent of madness, and she his mother.. always supported against his interests! In a FB we see, Madhvi appealing to Vyom she tried talking, buying Shiv but he turned her efforts down. Vyom recalls her words.. how she advocated Shiv's case.. told him he was a lonely boy who lost his family on their account.. besides Sharanya and Shiv were meant to be! Vyom recalls how his mothers words felt like nails being hammered in his head! now he holds it against his mother, she was more concerned by making amends to Shiv for his lost family! than her own son Vyom! He never accepted that in the past time! and he denounces the thought of Sharanya loving anyone else other than him!! his dear mother! lying here beside him at the bottom of the stairs.. left him to a living death!
Madhvi recalls Vyom, frenzied reaction! He would destroy himself! or any one else! who came in between him and Sharanya! on the floor she recalls all to well, how he nearly chopped her fingers off in the running desk fan in his studios! She had screamed away in fright! Her bad crop Vyom, always preyed upon her weakness..of booze.. and ruled her with fear! As he does so now! but all Vyom cries to her like a little boy is, he wants is his family, his mum,dad and Sharanya.. his small happy family! But his dear mother still keeps secrets from him! does she not realize, he tells Madhvi, she falsifies, her son is bad! Whereas ,the fault lies with the mother ,who always put her son down! Vyom's issue is he finds it hard to differentiate between right and wrong. His right has always been getting what he wanted. I suspect, both his parents, probably fed this habit of his fully, right from early years till date. Sharanya may be the first person whom he decided was right for him,but she said no! and fell in love with Shiv instead. Vyom thinks its right to destroy any one who comes between him and Sharanya! Seems just right for Vyom. His character goes though inconsistencies in this mother/son scene.
Odhni, by sheer presence of mind and clout escapes with Freddy from the mental asylum. Her bravado and guts, manages to shake of rajan's henchmen too. yes.. we find out that it was Vyom who stabbed Freddy in the back, to stop him from revealing the truth about Kapali hill secret! Precap shows Odhni contacts Sharanya if she wants to know the truth about kapli hills.
Another stumbling block, Vyom faces! Freddy has escaped with some one? Does he work out it maybe Odhni ? or does he suspect it may be Sharanya? Is that why he phones her? but she's smart, keeps mum,lest he locates where she near his vintage car! But what Sharanya misses is a woman's piece of clothing caught in the door of the car, which she slams shut.. as audience we get a FB, of a woman seated in vyom's vintage car when Vyom delivers the fatal knife stab in Shiv's back. The mystery woman has huge beach comber shades to conceal her identity, and tightly wrapped black head scarf !who is she Vyom's mother?.. if so she too has a lot to answer.Colluding and abetting to murder? hiding evidence?
Sharanya returns home to a severely injured Madhvi.Vyom serves her a chilling threat, happens to people who lose their way! fell in a drunken state, refuses all medication.. deftly he exposes his mother's medication, from places he clearly hid them in! Then takes Sharanya off guard,mum was meant to meet someone today, without telling us who? would she knowwho??Sharanya knows but stays mum!Hamlet53 26.1.18
Without a doubt a Vyom based episode. Shiv was missing clearly. Vikram was great as the dangerously, demented, dark, little boy who has some issues, of throwing things out of his cot if he doesn't get his way!
