Lots of discussion recently around petitioning for DBO back, so I thought I'd give my two cents in too. I don't particularly care whether the show is re-introduced or not. My wish is for equal treatment to be given to all the leads. Nobody is solely around to be a support-system and whenever I see a scene like that I inwardly cringe. Such beautifully crafted characters are being side-lined and it's a case of poorly-written work. Characters are being manipulated left-right-and-centre and it makes all their scenes look contrived. obviously in this case, we will try to bring about change. Now there are some who have chosen to petition due to their favourites not receiving their due... and whether it works or not, they are well within their rights to voice their complaints, after all freedom of speech is a beautiful and essential tool. We only bring about change when we voice our concerns, so I would like to applaud the brave individual who create that petition for utilising their rights in a positive way in an attempt to bring change. Being honest I doubt it will work and even if it did, the creatives would be the same here or there and if they are failing here, they will fail there.
Positivity is not a case of not complaining, it's a case of realising there must be a way to make things better. thank you so much for not petitioning for the closure of the show that hosts all our favourites, but instead positively focusing your energy in bringing about equality for all. Perhaps next time we should all petition that all the leads be treated equally on the show and attention be given to all of their POVs.
