🤣! Though I hope this film does well for the sake of those who worked hard on it and makes a profit, we need to be practical. In all honesty, DP (and Ranveer and Shahid) unfortunately do not have the kind of box office power that Salman Khan and Aamir Khan (or even SRK had previously) have. If we look at the top 15 highest grossing Indian films, most of them star a Khan in it and feature a lot of action. Moreover, Padmaavat does not have the kind of pan- Indian appeal Baahubali does. Though it will do extremely well in urban areas like Mumbai, I doubt that it can create a record due to the lack of Khan factor plus the Karni Sena atrocity. Its success in South Indian cities like TN, Hyderabad is limited due to the lack of Pan-Indian factor plus, the audience' movie taste varies. They usually prefer their own regional movies starring their own regional stars. The tamil Padmavaat trailer did not even have 1m views for example. DP seriously needs to think before she makes statements like this. The Padmaavat situation was worsened due to a tragedy of errors like this. Moreover, I can imagine her offending some fanatical Khan fans with statements like this! 😕
