EDT~ ep. 66~22.1.18 My stance: Be centre stage..
It's evident Sharanya and Vyom seem to grasp our focus in this episode ,following on from the previous. It s a bit of a cat and mouse situation . Sharanya gropes for a vital clue. Seemingly unaware Vyom somehow will not oblige her, and makes it all hard labour for her. Both meanwhile, put up a fairly credible performance before each other. Fine duplicity Sharanya and Vyom act out. In the wings ,we have Shiv giving Sharanya her cue. To me Shiv also seems to be her director ,who indicates and provides discipline and balance for her when she's on stage with Vyom. Shiv is more anxious about her life than his love. For this is one dangerous act that carries on stage foe both their lives!
To maintain the suspense element, getting to the crucial birthmark even though known,will not be easy to gain access to. This also becomes the cause for Sharanya and Vyom to pull up performances before each other, which poor Shiv swallows with some difficulty. His concern is her losing her nerve and in doing so, making a blunder before a shrewd Vyom enough for him to suspect her of some under cover act.
By touching Vyom s feet she seeks Karvachauth blessings from her husband, is good use of presence off mind on Sharanya's part. Only much to her distaste, Vyom hugs her instead, with the clichd line,in a stage whisper! a wife's place is in her husband's heart ,not at his feet! I feel Vyom, in a way taunts her, who would have thought she who never loved him before is so devoted to him now? His reference to setting her crooked Mangulsutra straight, is a reminder ,he married her according to the scriptures, with her consent and blessings of the elders! He didn't elope with her. So work at this marriage!
But Vyom's complacency , now she is mine forever and what's more she doesn't see the ghost anymore! Plus, she asks no awkward questions, what more can he ask for, than a virtous, devoted complying wife! But in reality, Vyom's body language of overconfidence, nothing can go wrong attitude, almost makes her cringe. Only Shiv's, plea ridden gazes warn her not to over act! Just stick to scene! Still Sharanya fails to get over the fact that Vyom killed Shiv and she taunts, many lives ceased to be, to complete their relationship. Her one harmless comment, unmasked within him all the killings he undertook to eventually making her his. Little can he tell that any one, least of all his pretty little wife, is aware of his catalogue of murders. So for Vyom, its like a honeymoon period. Sharanya lets him enjoy it . although herself she has to cross a path of fire! On the face of it ! share the same bed with Vyom.. its hard for Shiv too, being witness to Vyom's sense of achievement and Sharanya's gnashing of her teeth! Only Shiv's hand on hers and her eyes on her tall man's tender countenance, makes her eyes lids heavy..and with his image she goes to sleep like a baby. Vyom is hoodwinked by the feeling that its, his gentle arm around her shoulders in bed with him, that lulls her into slumber!
Odhni is yet another woman, after Rati and Sharanya whose love interests the Bedi have butchered. Odhni too like Sharanya has stumbled across a vital clue regards Shiv. Only like Sharanya, Odhni too is searching out the fact if Freddy is actually alive ?His audible voice mail reveals Freddy met Sharanya ..also that Sharanya is unaware that she in captivity of her deadliest enemy. But we already see that Sharanya stays at the Bedi's house, willingly, under Shiv's concerted protection.
The FB of Shiv being back stabbed, startles Sharanya.. its Shiv she calls out to! For the stage, Vyom's bedroom is empty! Yet again her first insticint is to call out to her director! Shiv! she fears he's done a vanishing act! Her legs take her to the garden.. Shiv! then she senses a presence behind her.. its her lofty, lanky , larger than life man Shiv! impulsively, she runs and hugs him! goes through him! and crashes down into a bucket full of yellow coloured water.. yellow the colour of haldi, healing, purifying agent.. she gets drenched in the colour of pure love. He seems so life like smiling ,chuckling down at her! nothing changed with her snivelling over her mistakes like she did in their past! and she retorts, may be so, but she's not bold as brass! Shameless! as he was... ah! Yes, the past comes back in a flash..
There he stood, a tall guy, who possibly due to his extraordinary towering height, dwarfed all others ,hence become a butt of ridicule! Shranya faced him and threw a bucket of yellowy muddy water! Shiv's shirt was soaked! But worst still,it was the volley of abuse he got from Sharanya ,proper public mudslinging! Orchestrated by Vyom the possibly known bully! She accused Shiv of making passes at her! a tall man, with his brains in his knees! that he may be ..but to this day, Shiv remains the tall guy with his brains in his knees, but Sharanya failed to see at that point in time, that the tall man had his heart in the right place! It was new boy initiation I guess? Pupils can be so cruel ,often led by a stronger force, in this case Vyom.. may be he already suspected Sharanya having the hot's for mr. lanky! So he set Sharanya up to humiliate Shiv. So the man hates her? it was exam day, the idea was to deter him from sitting the his exam.. loser! Junior! If he fails to turn up for the exam looking like a rain storm hit him! but much to the bullies surprise. Shiv turns up bare down to his torso for the exam, speaks the truth! Ran into a bucket of mucky water, short of both cash and time to arrange for a shirt.. so requests, if he is allowed to sit the exam , so as not to waste his year! Sharanya drowns in her muddy deed! steals a sided look at Shiv,who tersely warns her quit staring! before he reports her to the invigilating staff... but its noteworthy , Vyom watches both of them from behind.. fear's competition..
It seems Vyom made quite an impact on Sharanya..to Shiv she was always influenced by Vyom .. she agrees.. but how this friend cheated her.. separated Shiv from her with a universe between them. Even so, Shiv fears for her safety and warns her to channelize her rage at Vyom. Sharanya cries ,Vyom gets his cue to come on stage and acts the caring hubby scene. He wants to know why the tears ? she replies,she fell in the mud! But he tries to pull a fast one, he thought she spoke to sadhvi? Sharanya regrets ,she couldn't get her. Vyom continues to lead Sharanya to believe ,its all good with sadhvi , she must be terribly busy, will call back soon. Foolishly he believes, not long before their friendship will end up in love.
The final scene Vyom out of the bath in a knee high bath robe, reveals to Sharanya the birthmark she seeks.. only the mark is bleeding! Shiv dreads Sharanyas reaction,perhaps all to soon? She screams at Vyom! He'd better listen to her! she only acts the serving wife to seek her own ulterior motive..hamlet 23.1.18
if you ask me, vyom acts all is hunky dory, but inside he is hounded by his criminalty. Both Sharanya and Shiv watch him from the outside, like we do.. overall Namik, was great in the background.. vikram was good in moments of delusionary Vyom tomorrow, Sharanya wants to hear what Madhvi has to say about Shiv..
