EDT~ ep. 65~19.1.18 My stance: One left foot!
Sharanya only set foot in Bedi house to seek the left foot with a mark,enough to confirm Shiv's killer. Shiv supplied her with the clue that puts her on the right foot to hunt out the killer. Sharanya is no time waster, she goes all hands on deck in her mission. Shiv actually is wary of her impatience and one to many times has to stop her from literally setting her foot in too much! which could raise Bedi's suspicion about her.
The episode is an interesting watch between two styles of operative measures. Sharanya's impatience to gain immediate gratification and Shiv's over caution for fear of her endangering or losing her life altogether. To us viewers both the lovers, despite their methods exhibit pure harmony.
Sharanya had put her foot down!under no circumstances she would accept a drink from Vyom's hand! Shiv has to put his foot in it ,and as Vyom brings the small container of water for her to drink, Shiv's tap on the rim of the small water vessel briskly freezes the water. How effortlessly right under Vyom's nose! Shiv adhere's to his Sharanya's demand! Then when Vyom slips away, Shiv taps the water vessel again and by his frozen finger, magically the water changes shape from ice to water once again.
So great and unusual is their love! that Sharanya yet again defies the laws of nature and accepts a drink from her beloved spirit .. Death quenches the thirst of the living. Love becomes a factor to solder this strange, unprecedented occurrence. Love is also about taking oaths, and honouring them. It's pathos and vulnerability with both, as Sharanya faces the harsh reality. She may not pray for his longevity, since he has passed the threshold of life. But what is equally needed and vital for her is ensuring her beloved's living killers pay for their crimes! Shiv is not about in the world of the living to defend himself. But for once, Sharanya sees herself blessed to be alive, for she will bring justice for Shiv! Her face is adamant.
Shiv's face shows anxiety and dread. For he is unselfish, death came to him ,that was written in the stars for him. Not once he wishes that Sharanya too should die and join him in the hereafter where their souls can be united eternally. He is content to see her live her life safely.. He knows it will be hard, but one day , he will have to depart from her world, into his tillthen that much faith he has their love is strong and Sharanya will never forget him.. He'll live as a cherished memory in her heart ,soul and mind forever.. Meanwhile its her life not her love Shiv is anxious over.
It's like she is possessed .Taken over by hunting out the killer amongst the Bedi's despite the warnings Shiv give's her.
Touching elder Bedis feet to seek blessings, is really is gathering evidence.. the culprits black birthmark. To me it's a scene where Sharanya has to force herself to touch the feet , of possible criminals ,who have sinned against, both her and Shiv. But her love for Shiv and justice, makes her stoop to such levels. I am sure her act was devoid of reverence for them , but her purpose goads her on. While Shiv holds his breath, for fear of Sharanya's unbridled fury exposing her. I suspect he regrets giving her clues. But Sharanya has no success in this venture. Shiv looks much relieved. But this he knows, there is no stopping Sharanya now! he will have to shadow her all the more than before. She is exposed to the cold, brute force of the Bedi's. The scene is also a fine example of Shiv Sharanya bonding. She is intrepid, confident ,as she knows that at every step she takes he's right behind her covering her back. It's clear to me Sharanya wants immediate results, where as he is realistic and wants her to delay her rush as she may raise the Bedi's doubts.. Vyom though takes her actions in a most encouraging manner. Sharanya is the typical adapting bahu.. respectful of his family. Vyom is being taken for a ride!
Like Sharanya , who sought her past,Odhni too, ends up searching for vital clues to trace Freddy's whereabouts. She is desperate to decode, Freddy's crackling voice mail! Like Sharanya in her past Odhni too, had Shiv's visitations in her life, the last visit a stormy one. Like Sharanya too Odhni too thinks of Shiv as a negative spirit.
In a dark cellar, Vyom brings food for some mysterious person tied to a chair. By how Vyom refers to this person, it seems to be a female?Vyom's tone is respectful, he keenly shares, that it seems he has made an impression on Sharanya, she appears to be very much in love with him, after this he is heading for Sharanya.. he orders the person eat the food! Shuts the door on the captives face. Vyom references to Sharanya make him sound delusional.. who could this captive be? Freddy ,Sharanya's mother?? if it's a woman?
Crossing question, communicating reading each others minds.. that's what connects Shiv and Sharanya .. he demands an explanation about her risky touching feet action! She explains her logic, to identity the culprit! Sharanya works it out that only Vyom had good enough reason to kill Shiv.. besides he tortured her and her family , acted possessed ,took liberties with her ,all in the spirits name! even though she married him..she cries.. but was there a need to kill her true love ? Shiv reasons with her, Vyom blamed him ,so he could provoke hatred in her against him.. only then could Vyom ,worm his way into her heart.What is noteworthy is that Shiv leaves it to Sharanya to pick out the prime suspect out of the Bedi's who would benefit most from killing Shiv. he wants her to be pro-active in her investigations . As for Sharanya after briefly trashing out the questions with Shiv she concludes, it leaves her no choice except to check Vyom's feet tonight..
Deep down Sharanya is determined now that she will not leave Vyom to stand on his legs, she will , play with his mind too.. and fearlessly, too! Long has Vyom cheated both her, plus her family. When Vyom asks who was she talking to ,she replies with what comes to mind,Sadhvi. Vyom hasn't a leg to stand upon. How come? he worries ,he just killed her! he too diverts, she must be busy with worship.
The coffee scene is another instance, where she plays mind games with him.. leads him to believe , her foggy memory is clearing.. but Shiv is anxious as he warns Sharanya ,if Vyom latches on she recalls her past..Vyom might try to harm her, in fear of her remembering what he most definitely wants concealed from her.. one sugar one love.. line from Sharanya baffles both Shiv and vyom.. is Sharanya pulling a fast one? or does she really remember Vyom's line from college canteen times? Stupidly Vyom is flattered by Sharanya recalling things patent to him, he puts his foot in his mouth unknowingly! and admits, she cannot even imagine what not he has done to get her!!! now she just needs to pray for his long life and in turn he'll forever keep her happy! He needs to discipline his boastful delusion... soon he'll expose him self... crime has to pay, surely?
Night time Sharanya looks for the birthmark anywhere around the suspect's feet and legs.. seems she has no luck! .. without proof, one stands innocent! Hamlet53 20.1.18
Quite a rigmarole episode. However to me the saving grace, is their connectivity in crisis situation that stands out. The captive in the dark cellar is of great interest.. who is the person?seems on Monday while doing typical duty of husband pampering, laying out Vyom's clothes.. Sharanya notices something and she blows a fuse! She will speak! and he will hear her out! will she tell him ,his game is over?? Has she found the left foot?
