As a dedicated nerd of literature I have to say there are actually lots of websites that offer free books but most of these books are of classic literature and public copyright, you can rarely find new fictions on them. ( For example: FreeBooks; ReadPrint; ManyBooks and so on.) For a long time when I want to read some popular, latest novels, I need to buy them from amazon. However, after my screening and screening, there really are several great websites on which one can find latest popular fictions for free. I would like to strongly recommend them to you.

1.Wattpad

Wattpad must be heard by most of you. The most interesting feature of it is that users here are able to comment and like stories or join groups associated with the website. This helps it get social function and many new writers gather together here.

2.Fanfiction

Fanfiction focuses on nine categories, including anime/manga, comics, cartoons and so on. It's a good place for people who like Japanese comics. There are also some literature works but most of them are already published for some time or even many years. So if you are looking for some new fictions it may not be a good choice.

3.Fictionpress

Fictionpress is FanFiction's sister site, contains original stories, poems, and plays. The site has a similar format and rules to FanFiction, except that no fan fiction is allowed. Currently, there are more poems than stories.

4.FicFun

FicFun is an international sharing platform for original English fiction. It was founded by lovers of literature from different countries and regions and is aimed at finding good stories. There are many new works serialized here.

For me, my favorite one is FicFun. At the beginning I knew it because several of my writer friends had uploaded their works on it and they strongly recommended this website to me . I find that FicFun's story style has some similarity with Wattpad. Also my friends told me that the editors would help them solve problems through a group of Discord. Besides creating a community for writers, encouraging good works and writers is also done well by FicFun. You can easily tell this from the writing competition it recently organized. Click the following link to see:

The first ever FicFun Writing Contest

This contest sets 3 kinds of awards: fan choice awards, editor choice awards and readers awards and the voting process last for 2 months.

I've read several works which also take part in this contest. My favorite one is <The Big Bang> , written by Hans Jefferson Paglinawan. In this contest it won a 1st prize in teen fiction category. When I see the award list I felt so happy for this because good works are worth to be known by more people.

It is a rare situation that the organizer doesn't charge any fees from the participants and even set big bonuses. Also, the winners would have chance to become signed authors of FicFun. This behavior wins my respect and touch, to a certain degree.

I think people who really love literature would have the same feeling as me. By the way the prize-winning works in this competition are of high quality. Hope you can take a look at these works and this would be a huge encouragement .
