Something picked up directly from its original source. Usually it 's a fact finding task. Sharanya as we are aware, is in search of answers to pressing questions. Her mission is to discover who is the spirit ?and how much hand he actively has in nearly killing Vyom? As such the term "hand is pretty significant as it can be applied metaphorically to particular events in this episode.
Sadhvi has a guiding hand in sending Sharanya's to Kapali hills, to rid her and Vyom's life off the demonic spirit. Sharanya's reaction towards Shiv is also based on her own first hand knowledge of her faith, belief in prayers, especially which ones to chant to subvert the approaches of an evil spirit.With all hands! she assumes that Shiv must have desired her, and failure to do so,makes him try to separate Vyom from her! how she concludes this is beyond me? does she recall this as a known fact from her past? within the safe haven of Maata's temple, with a firm hand she threatens to send Shiv back from whence he came!
But if Shiv signifies evil, then, evil is as powerful as righteousness and can elude a believer easily. When Sharanya chants the sacred mantra of goddess Kaali , he too echos Sharanya's chants and thus gains access into the temple. Was this allowance a grant from the goddess herself? Is Maata trying to give Sharanya a message too? about the persona of Shiv?..
Sharanya's plan may be under threat of being thwarted,with Shiv right behind her in the temple. Sadhvi senses it and rallies more married women with vermillion platters to pray for Sharanya's husband's life, as more hands holding vermillion platters around the goddess in Sadhvi's temple will be a safe pair of hands for a far removed Sharanya in Kapali hill temple. It's known too, if others too pray for one agreed supplication, concerted prayer requests are heard by deities.
But with Shiv in the temple with Sharanya, plan begins to get out of hand. He dupes her into looking into his eyes! Something Sadhvi had warned her about. The signs of the plan going out of hand are evident in Sadhvi's temple too! the married women's vermilion showered upon Maata changes from red to black! At Kapali temple Sharanya throws the vermillion into Shiv's face to destroy him, instead its blown back in her face ,and smears the vermillion in her parting! The chunari is blown off! and the moon appears in eclipse! In panic Sharanya's devotion diverts and she dashes out! off Maata's temple s safe haven! Shiv smirks at Maata's idol! He played a fine hand and got Sharanya out of the temple! Sadhvi recognizes peril for Sharanya and death for her husband! in the sign of the black vermillion!
Sadhvi cannot have the blood of two innocent souls on her hands! She will have to step outside the temple, break her 25 years vow ,to uphold Sharanya's faith in her guidance and more so in the powers of the maternal goddess. She will make way to Vyom!
Like a frightened deer Sharanya runs.. on the partly covered with snow, and partly bare terrain of Kapali hills, symbolic of the fact that she part knows the truth, the rest is still buried under her frozen partial memory loss. Shiv s hands are not tied, he calls her, and follows her, a tall dark, decisive, imposing figure.
He calls out to the scampering Sharanya to listen to his pleas, his saga, his tale of deep woe.. Sharanya, tarry a while.."There once was a lover..please try to understand that the person I love, doesn't want to stay with me, she doesn't want my love. To her my love is like being shackled. She's scared of my passion. I am not destined to have her love. She doesn't agree with my beliefs. Neither does she have any love for me. Let's bridge our differences from our past. They are helpless. But not hated like me. That's the story of a lover.. even death couldn't separate them from each other. There once was a lover..
Not his cries but Sadhvi words, come to her,Don't step out of the mandir ,otherwise the demon might harm you..and her feet carry her farther and farther from him. Shiv continues his silent gait.. she stumbles, looks back, thinks she's lost him! but as soon as she finds her feet.. the gigantic Shiv towers over her! dodge and dart him she may! but his dark lofty presence she fails to shake off! He comes in peace.. but Sharanya sees him with demonic powers about to rob her off her peace! may be of her life??? Shiv now coming so far! having her in Kapali hills will not let her out of his hands! or his heart! He calls behind her obdurately, Sharanya is mine, her heart only beats for me, this remains his chant.. to this day!
Sadhvi somehow breaches the hospital security, perhaps because she looks like a sage.. and manages an audience with the man who loves Sharanya to the point of nearly dying for her! to me there is so much envy in Sadhvi's voice, when she refers to their love. seems someone betrayed her in the past? she wants their marriage to be blessed.. but when she observes Vyom's palm! She finds out his was not the hand she had seen with Sharanya's hand! is Vyom the one not meant to be the one who loves Sharanya ?? if this is the case? Then Sadhvi wrongly gave her spiritual mentoring into Sharanya's hands!.. Sadhvi's hands, have misguided the poor girl..what will Sadhvi do ? to redeem her mistake?
But one destined trip, fall, stumble and roll down the icy steep precipice makes Sharanya revert back to her near fatal accident! Seems things are precariously out of her hands! The crash she survived! but this roll she may not! and then she latches on to a stiff .strong, icy hand! she grips it like dear life itself! and suddenly this invisible man buried under the snow saves her! she clears the ice! Its him! the spirit! Shiv towers over her..and she cusses him, how many more will you kill?? She looks down at the person whose hand gives her the kiss of life... staring at him.. she recalls he's the one she ran over! the face in the smashed pieces of the mirrors.. Sharanya is gobsmacked.. she survives, because he had a hand in it .. a dead man's hand? usually equates with ill luck! But this hand gives her life!.Pity she cannot equate the dead man and the spirit that looms over her as one and Shiv recites. "Oh my heart try to understand. The person whose memories you don't want to lament about, doesn't want to become yours..
Lovely episode, Namik and Donal both leave an impressive mark. Tomorrow we finally get to see Shiv as Shiv .. asking Sharanya , if she really cannot recall who he is??? also a partly exposed Namik.. what can hammie say ,amid the cheers, and hoots on the forum.. enjoy...my tummy hurts to even ... chuckle..love hamlet53 12.1.18
