A leading actor seems to be on a mission. We hear he is vying for a seat in Parliament and is trying every trick in the Bollywood book to get himself to New Delhi. From siding with the government and all their schemes, to making friends with politicos with big portfolios to even promoting the current government's ideas and ideologies. But you will have to wait for some time to discover his name, we hear it will be officially announced next year.

This is not a big actor. A big actor can easily become an MP. So definitely rules out the top rung of stars.

I was not sure. I see people on various social media sites call him canadian resident. I didn't know what PR holder was. But after some research I learned he must be a PR holder. PR holders are as good as someone having indefinite work visa. Therefore, he is still an Indian Citizen and can vote and be a MP of India.

Nope he is a Canadian citizen. He himself said it. Though he called it 'honorary'. The Canadian ambassador also confirmed it at IFFI.
