Ekta Kapoor reunites with Alankrita Shrivastava after Lipstick Under M

When Alankrita Shrivastava's Lipstick Under
My Burkha faced a huge protest from the
Central Board of Film Certification, it was
Ekta Kapoor who came to the rescue. Now,
the hit collaboration is all set to reunite for
another project.
Alankrita is currently writing the script and
the movie is in initial stages but Ekta and
Alankrita have discussed a few ideas before
zeroing on the final one. The film directed
will delve into the lives of two women in her
next. However, details about it yet to be
known. Meanwhile, the hunt for an
appropriate cast for the movie is underway.
Speaking about it, Alankrita Shrivastava said,
"I'm really excited about collaborating with
Ekta Kapoor and Balaji for my next film. I
think it needs courage and a certain risk-
taking ability to back films like the ones I
want to make. And I'm so glad to have
found a brave producer and presenter in
Ekta. The future is female, and I think more
women collaborating is the change that we
need to see. Not just in India, but the world
over. "
Ekta Kapoor said, "Alankrita's style of
filmmaking is bold, entertaining and asks all
the right questions to our society. I'm only
too glad we're reuniting to tell some more
path-breaking and hugely entertaining
stories together. The Lipstick rebellion thus
continues!"
Lipstick Under My Burkha was clearly one of
the most celebrated films of 2017. The
movie was presented by Ekta Kapoor &
Balaji Motion Pictures, and it performed well
at the box office. The film swept 18
international awards and was screened at
over 60 festivals worldwide.
