Arnav forced Khushi to marry him. How is it any different than local goons forcing young girls to marry them? Just because Arnav was a handsome guy, his crimes do not decrease. Khushi was subjected to domestic violence including physical violence. How is it any different then husbands abusing their wives? I am surprised that showing cigarette smoking is banned but these shows are not banned.

Anyway I'm a fan and am unapologetic about loving it specially before the much anticipated redemption went for a toss. Do I wish there was better redemption and making up to the girl done? Oh yah but then it was due to external reasons that never happened to any fan's satisfaction. But if I go in this vein I'm digressing cz it's done and over now and can't be changed.

Most shows in tv r regressive. They can't stretch them to infinity by sitting on morally righteous path I guess.

IPK was loved by a generation of youngsters/working women (the main demography of its viewers transcending continents and language barriers) cz it had two gorgeous leads who had sizzling chemistry and for the first 8 months a fantastic writing for every character. Anyway it's as simple as you didn't watch it when we did and it was the craze it was, so be as judgmental as you want but we aren't answerable for loving it.
It's a part of my years as a student I loved and will always love.

We are critiquing (not insulting) these fans as these fans are indirectly responsible for the regressive content shown on TV as TV producers are producing content to please these fans. If the public started rejecting such content, there would be no more of such regressive content on TV. And we can't just accept such regressive content as solely entertainment as it discounts the influence of such shows on people's mentality. Haven't actors like Aamir Khan apologised for being part of misogynistic movies and promoting stalking etc.? There is a reason because they realised the impact of such movies on societal cultures and beliefs.

Day by day, I feel like we shouldn't blame the illiterate TRP audience for the regressive content as we have enough well- educated girls and women supporting this regressive content. So why blame the illiterate TRP audience alone? At least they have ignorance to blame for their regressive mindset.

I have never watched Game of Thrones because I had heard about the incest in the show, but that does not mean I go around judging people who watch the show.
