Iqra Aziz and Shehzad Sheikh Gear Up For a Play Written By Imran Ashraf

This year has been amazing for Iqra Aziz as well as for Shahzad Sheikh. Both on their own have appeared in one hit play after another and with the audiences loving them in Choti Si Zindagi. Naturally, we were super excited to see them back again in the latest play called Qurban. Its is a beautiful tale of love and loss. But the reason why we are talking about the duo today is because they have signed on for another play together which is being directed by Ahson Talish, script has been written by Imran Ashraf. All this was revealed to us by the very pretty and talented Iqra Aziz.
We recently saw a picture of Iqra and Shahzad standing together with Ahson Talish. Ahson Talish, you would remember is the force behind Alif Allah aur Insaan*. We got in touch with Iqra Aziz and she gave us very exciting news
"Shahzad and I are back again together after Qurban. This new play will run on Hum TV, and I am really excited for this".
And she had this to say about working with Ahson Talish,
"I was really looking forward to working with him again after Deewana as one gets to learn a lot from him and I share a very good rapport as well "
Titled Tabeer and with a very impressive team we asked Iqra what drew her towards this project?
"What attracted me was the presence of great people like Ahson Talish, Shahzad Sheikh, and the fact that its an MD production for Hum TV. This will be debut of Imran Ashraf as a writer and it took him two years to write it. I remember when I was shooting with Ahsan Bhai for Deewana, he had mentioned this script but then everyone got busy and now when MD (Momina Duraid) productions got the script in hand and offered me the role I knew I had to do it as this for me is a dream team" said Iqra
The shooting for the drama has already begun. Iqra also revealed to us little bit about her character.
"My character is called Tabeer and she is a very pampered girl who may not be that rich but she stays happy with whatever she has and what I love about her is that she is very cute and loving"
Adding further ,
"As far as the play is concerned it is a series of tragedies faced by two families. The play is very close to reality and the audiences will be able to relate to it as Imran has written it very well".
Besides the duo, Tabeer will also feature Ali Safina, Bi Gul, Amir Qureshi, Azra Mansoor, and Seemi Pasha. We extremely excited and we sure will look out for it. It is expected to run in January next year on Hum Tv.
