Priyanka Chopra is currently in Mumbai on a
vacation and we couldn't be happier to have
our desi girl back. PeeCee even performed at
the recently held awards event and it was
indeed a treat to have her back on stage. We
missed her here, didn't we?
After appearing on the Forbes Celebrity 100
list, Priyanka will now be honoured with a
doctorate degree at the Bareilly
International University in the presence of
Union Government Ministers.
PeeCee had earlier reiterated that she always
wanted to go back to college and get her
graduate degree which was part of her
bucket list.
Priyanka will receive her doctorate degree in
Bareilly from the Academic Council of the
Bareilly International University on
December 24, 2017. The Chancellor will also
present the superstar with a memento as
she revisits her hometown after almost 5
years.
Speaking about it, Madhu Chopra said, "It
gives me immense joy and satisfaction, that
Priyanka's work for various social cause is
being appreciated and Felicitated. She
justifiably deserves it. May God Bless her
and give her the strength to do good for
those who are less fortunate."
Meanwhile, Coming to the work front,
besides Quantico, Priyanka will be starring
in two Hollywood projects - A Kid Like Jake
which stars Jim Parsons, Claire Danes and
Octavia Spencer and Isn't It Romantic?
which stars Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and
Liam Hemsworth.
Priyanka is also in continuous talks with
Sanjay Leela Bhansali to star as poetess
Amrita Pritam in poet Sahir Ludhianvi's
biopic Gusthakiyan. On this, Priyanka had
earlier said, "I haven't decided any film yet.
(But) Sanjay sir is someone I can't say no to.
He knows my pulse, he knows what I will
like to do. Every time we meet we look for
things to do together. And hopefully, we will
combine something. But I haven't zeroed in
on any film yet."
