But now dat we hv already seen Beyhadh's this just looks like a male version of it... Maybe they cud hv waited 1 or 2 yrs to show this... By then the audience wud hv forgotten at least to sm extent abt Beyhadh n wud hv appreciated this story more wholeheartedly...

Because on the outset, this show isn't a cliche... Cliche wud be like any Gul or Ekta show, the FL goes on to sudharofy the brutish, sulky man child ML with the power of her sindhoor and bore us with yards of dialogues reiterating the same again and again in each and every eppy irrespective of whether she is treated as a doormat or kaam wali bai... The ML will catch her arms rudely, slap her, push her down, throw the food she makes n ugh wat not... But the moment he gifts her a necklace or a bouquet of red roses... We will get a slow mo romantic BGM and her dressing in her best bridal sari and admiring herself in the mirror... 🤢 Now dat's the cliche of ITV since the time cable TV started!

The problem is these were the same people behind Beyhadh as welll!
And now it seems like the same story with a predictable and a cliche plot

Beyhadh became popular coz firstly it was about obsession of a woman and people were eager to know to what extent she will go for her love...it was refreshing to see a dark female lead

But now when it comes to obsessive male lovers then the list is endless...Saubhagyavati Bhava, Darr , Anjaam , the list is endless

we have already seen Beyhadh and the similarities are uncanny !

1. Maya and Ranvir both were rich, business tycoon

2. Both had a sad childhood,...Maya had it worse

3. Both fell in love with a middle class person who had a spark !

4. Both killed because someone tried to harm their love...Maya killed Ashwin while Ranvir murdered Gaurav

5. Both had pics of their loves in a room...Maya had it in her bathroom as well 😆

So, there is a reason why many are disappointed with the makers

It looks like the same old wine but in a new fancy bottle

Here we were hoping to see an authentic grey character who is manipulative, sharp and intelligent but what we have got is a one dimensional obsessive lover...Sigh ! RANVIR RAICHAND should and could have been much more than that !

Also this is the most cliche plot when it comes to a love traingle !

2 boys in love with the same girl...Girl falls for the fun loving brat turned good guy while the other guy turns negative ! Done to death formula in my opinion.

TVD was also a love trainge and yet it was never a cliche and perhapes why it was so popular...the leads were 3 authentic flawed, real , grey characters

But here story seems very predictable now !

Also Haasil makers have made me realize the value of Ekta/Gul shows who sell cliches openly and not trick the audience by promising a unique tale of 3 grey characters and then presenting the age old cliche of an obsessive lover

Had high hopes from the show...but it turned out to another run off the mill cliche love triangles

The difference between Ekta/Gul shows and this show is that Ekta/Gul never promote their concepts as pathbreaking or thrilling. They let the audience know what nonsense they are selling and the audience buys it willingly.
Beyhadh was promoted as a show where the FL was supposed to be flawed and different from the usual troupe of FLs.Also Beyhadh was received well initially coz a female obsessive lover as the protagonist was never seen before.
But there they turned her into a fully fledged villain and made a mockery of mental patients.Maya the so called grey heroine was turned dark.

The PH which made Beyhadh also had another show on Zee named Woh Apna Sa where the wife was turned into an evil woman beyond redemption just for the sake of justifying her husband's extra maritial affair.

Haasil is the product of the same PH.It was promised as a romantic thriller where all three leads are grey shaded and multi faceted characters.Even the promos told a different story.
But now let's look at the show's condition. What is it now? An evil, obsessive man who separated two lovers. The lovers will fight for their love and the villain will die. What is so pathbreaking about this?Ranvir Raichand who was shown as an ambitious,Machiavellian, grey shaded character has turned into a monster.

Basically the moral of the story is that there is no such thing as GREY.Either you are a saint or a complete monster.
If this is not predictable or cliched then I don't know what is.

ABSOUTELY AGREE GIRL !

Also the same makers made Love ka hai intezaar where they showed that the hero's wife was a monster but her husband was not aware about it and still had an extra marital affair with Sanjeeda's character

What else could be expected from them sigh !

See, there are no, only white (saint) or only black (monster) people in the world. Everyone is grey, each and every person in the world! The greyness is different in everyone but it is still there! Grey means flawed. And no one is perfect in this world! But makers don't know this or maybe they don't want to know this!
I wish they had promoted the show as it is now. A couple fighting for their love with a psychopath. I would have watched it gladly! But they made false promises and now they don't even care what certain people are saying?
They had promised three grey characters. We don't know anything about Aanchal and Kabir, maybe they will turn grey later but Ranveer is black now. And that means only two grey characters, not three.

Foreigners know very well on how to show a grey-twisted character. TVD & the originals have some of the best grey characters one can see. They are dark at times but you can't hate them for longer as their actions are so beautifully justified. Klaus, Damon, Katherine were in-out dark character in the beginning but we loved them more than Stefan, Elijah & a lot others. They had the survival instinct at their best were not psycho. As a matter of fact, the greyness is the key trait of each character. Everyone is grey but it depends on the amount of black & white one has in proportion.
Similarly, there are many other shows in Hollywood.

I loved how you used the TVD reference for a love triangle. It was indeed the best one.
