SRK wows at Berlinale

SRK's Om Shanti Om was screened at the Berlin Film Festival this year and the superstar who had been invited by the organizers to address the audiences at the Berlinale Talent Campus had the media and his fans completely floored with his talk on Bollywood.

Defending Bollywood in the west, SRK told the media and dignitaries present, "It's a lot of colour. It's a little louder than loud. But that's the kind of people Indians are. We do express ourselves a little loudly. We get angry louder, cry louder and laugh louder," said Khan.

It was only King Khan who getaway with taking a dig at Hollywood when he said that Western blockbusters should consider borrowing from Bollywood. "Cinema is on the brink of getting eaten up by technology…I love Spiderman…Superman but sometimes there is nothing beyond the special effects. Maybe our stories would be interesting to take on," he said defiantly.

And when Khan was questioned about wanting to work in Hollywood, being his usual modest self said that he had no illusions about getting work there but let it also be known the he had no real interest in even looking for one. "I'm 42 years old. I'm a little bit brown. There is no space or place for me," he said, "It's not like I land in New York or Los Angeles and Steven Spielberg's waiting for me. He's not."

And although Steven Spielberg may not be waiting, the superstar must be doing something right if the tickets to the OSO screening were sold out in seven minutes flat at the festival!
