Whoops! I seem to have stepped on it ...
But, my dear, I have given up on UN's writing completely and am not seriously tuned in to MK.
However, when I drop in now, I try (okay, try is just the operative word) viewing it all from the prism of UN (per his nari shakti dialogues etc etc and all the comments with regard to women's empowerment! blah blah). Basically, the setting of the narrative into the 21st century (!🥱) with regard to equality of the sexes etc etc, but then you suddenly have dialogues which are very regressive. Makes you question ...especially the dialogues ... So I put out my thoughts. If that is complaining ... so be it.😊
with regard to folk tales - I did not infer in anyway that they are below or above.
After all, a belief is a belief: Na maano tho pathar, maano tho bhagwan.
I know that folk tales try to put things in everyday situations of humans - sometimes banal, sometimes not. Depends on the origins/orator/history/geography and so much else ... Everybody knows this ... whatever the beliefs.
Frankly speaking, it is only when I question that I can expect someone with knowledge to enlighten me - which I think is the main purpose of all Puranic and belief oriented stories. Questioning is a must ...
Here of course, the case is more of consistency
With regard to the Annapoorna story and Matangi story - both are really beautiful. I can imagine Pooja Sharma in both avatars with the wonderful known story, and she would do a great job. Sigh, opportunity lost ...

Of course if this was a historical (recently viewed a couple of epis of a historical and laughed myself silly at the storyline, timeline of the characters- in view of known and documented history😆); I would not really comment there. I would just laugh it off, as I did!!
