Honestly I gave this as an option yesterday in another thread, but after posting it I thought about it long and hard and it seems too obvious.
There are 2 obvious tracks:
- Vyom is actually the "hero" and Shiv is actually the "villain"
- Vyom is actually the "villain" and Shiv is actually the "hero"
Now first on the quotations. The reason I put the words "hero" and "villain" in quotations is because I hate the definition surrounding these words and because of the connotations. Hero means sweet, caring, honest, funny, muscular, strong, protective, loving, etc. Villain means angry, rude, brash, brains not brawn, woman beater (usually), no relations, etc. These are very 50s definitions.
I personally enjoy characters that are layered and shows that don't have a straightforward protagonist and antagonist, or if they do sometimes you side by the antagonist and sometimes by the protagonist. I like grey-shaded characters.
Now with Vyom and Shiv so far I've gotten the feeling that both fall in Option 1 from above. Now the obvious twist would be to make it Option 2. But now I don't think is as straightforward as it seems.
So far we've only been shown one layer of both. I feel as the CVs unveil the story, we'll see sides to Vyom that make people want to hate him and we'll see sides to Shiv that make people want to love him. At the same time though neither will ever be categorized into hero or villain. They're both going to turn out to have their positives and negatives and it's for us to decide who we support and it's for Sharanya to decide who she supports.
As for the precap, I commented on that in another thread. Copying that reply here:

Based on the precap, articles, rumours, gossip, and the story so far here are 5 options for what is going to happen tomorrow:
- Shiv possesses Vyom and in a bid to get Sharanya to hate Vyom, tries to rape her.
- Vyom does this on his own accord in a bid to get Sharanya closer to him and even farther from Shiv.
- This is the real Vyom and we finally see his real face tomorrow.
- This is all a nightmare that Shiv brings on Sharanya when she and Vyom end up in a room alone.
- This is all a nightmare that Sharanya sees on her own when she and Vyom end up in a room together.
Now from the above, I feel only 1 or 4 are possible and here's why.
Sharanya knows to some degree what Vyom is capable of and she wants to save him because he's a nice caring person who she has become friends with and who says they were in love, but she doesn't remember. Whatever the case is, she would never see this nightmare on her own because the two have been left alone before and Vyom was gentleman enough to cover his eyes before helping her out. Hence option 5 is out.
Option 2 is not possible because Sharanya already hates Shiv and is close to Vyom. She doesn't love Vyom, but doing this would not make her suddenly fall in love with Vyom any faster. He gains nothing from doing this so that option is out.
Option 3 is somewhat possible, but it's too early to reveal a sudden possessive, obsessive side to Vyom like this. This show is going to run 150 episodes. We're only at episode 34 so far. If this is the real Vyom, the CVs would wait until at least half the show is over before revealing the true Vyom. Not only that, but if this is the real Vyom, then the story is not ready for such a sudden shift. We still need to be told Shiv's story. We still need to know the truth behind the accident. We still need to know what Rajan Bedi knows and why he's so adamant on bringing Sharanya into the house. There's a lot that we don't know and still need to know. They wouldn't suddenly just give us a villain Vyom without explaining everything else behind the characters.
Apart from that I would like to wait until tomorrow before making any other presumptions on the characters.
