That's an interesting quote but I don't think that's the one apt for Ayesha's case. For me "People tend to see demons in other people when they have the same demons inside of themselves" and "Paranoia comes from an unhealthy mind" would suit Ayesha better. Wah I kinda feel like I'm talking about myself especially the first one. Anyway I think people are like that, we're after all only human with flaws. Just like Prachi who doesn't posses evil in herself thus can't really see evil in others, Ayesha is seeing evil in everybody because she herself has it inside of her, that too a strong and uncontrollable kind of evil. Anyhow she doesn't seem sane anymore so the second quote might suit her even better.
"Our faults irritate us the most when we see it in others."
This could be true indeed, in some cases we would be irritated seeing faults in others when we ourselves have the faults, especially because since it's in somebody else, the fault looks much worse thus irritates us more. Not to mention the flaw in other people which we don't realize we ourselves have, that could give irritation to us maybe because we don't recognize it but our subconscious and unconscious minds recognize it and dislike it, regard it as a flaw that tainted the illusionary 'perfection' of a human being called 'ourselves'.
However in other cases I think it's the other way around. When we recognize a fault in others which we also have, we tend to be more forgiving, because we understand the flaw. We would excuse other people the way we would like to excuse ourselves. Me thinks many people are not so tolerant when they see faults (in others) they simply can't understand or can't relate to.
