Our faults irritate us the most when we see it in others.

This is what I read somewhere a long time back. It was so true for Ayesha going by yesterday's episode. She kept imagining the entire Shah family laughing at her plight. She envisioned Prachi clones appearing every where and ridiculing her, telling her that she will never get Milsi and that she will have to live in the same house and see them happy together, that she has lost and Prachi has won etce etc. These are the things she herself would have done had she managed to get Prachi out of Milsi's life and get Milsi to marry her. That is why she imagined Prachi to behave in the same manner. And it sure the hell not only got her irritated but was driving her insane.

To add fuel to the fire, when she saw Prachi decked up as a bride, smiling at the mirror, she thought that she was smirking at her. Prachi, I think, was not even aware she was standing behind even though her image was very much on the mirror. She was totally lost in thoughts of the impending wedding to take note of her surroundings.

Yes Opti...Ayesha is seeing the same thing that she wanted to do to Prachi...Just that she being the woman she is will never want to accept it...I think BT is paving way for her exit either by transporting her to an asylum or may be killing her off temporarily...There has to be a good reason for her sudden bout of madness and insanity...

Tweety, I too think Ayesha is on her way to the mental asylum. I am hoping that Milsi drums some sense into her about what Prachi has done and is doing for her before she goes.

That's an interesting quote but I don't think that's the one apt for Ayesha's case. For me "People tend to see demons in other people when they have the same demons inside of themselves" and "Paranoia comes from an unhealthy mind" would suit Ayesha better. Wah I kinda feel like I'm talking about myself especially the first one. Anyway I think people are like that, we're after all only human with flaws. Just like Prachi who doesn't posses evil in herself thus can't really see evil in others, Ayesha is seeing evil in everybody because she herself has it inside of her, that too a strong and uncontrollable kind of evil. Anyhow she doesn't seem sane anymore so the second quote might suit her even better.

"Our faults irritate us the most when we see it in others."
This could be true indeed, in some cases we would be irritated seeing faults in others when we ourselves have the faults, especially because since it's in somebody else, the fault looks much worse thus irritates us more. Not to mention the flaw in other people which we don't realize we ourselves have, that could give irritation to us maybe because we don't recognize it but our subconscious and unconscious minds recognize it and dislike it, regard it as a flaw that tainted the illusionary 'perfection' of a human being called 'ourselves'.

However in other cases I think it's the other way around. When we recognize a fault in others which we also have, we tend to be more forgiving, because we understand the flaw. We would excuse other people the way we would like to excuse ourselves. Me thinks many people are not so tolerant when they see faults (in others) they simply can't understand or can't relate to.

Magno, you have given some interesting quotes which I have not heard before. These do suit Ayesha very well. Granted that Prachi does not have the faults that Ayesha is imagining her to have. But she is imagining these things as she herself thinks and acts like that. I dont know if I am confusing the issue.

As to being less tolerant about faults we do not have, that may also be true but in general one tends to get irritated if we see certain characteristics we ourselves have displayed in others because they seem far worse and as you rightly put it, in our subconsciousness we do acknowledge that fault also lies in us which our consciousness is not willing to accept. So we instead take it on the person we see display this. In Ayesha's mind she sees Prachi ridiculing her as she had ridiculed her. If indeed Prachi is doing such a thing, she is not willing to accept that she could be the cause of it. So she is taking the easy route out and playing the victim.

At this point of time she is bordering on insanity. She is paranoid constantly fearing that every body is after her. She is also displaying symptoms of mixed personality. At times her devious plans are plain kiddish like leaving Prachi behind in the picnic. She appears to be foolish enough to think that by doing so Prachi will get lost from her life forever. Or hitting her with the dandiya stick at the dandiya dance. There are other times she behaves with utmost calculativeness like bribing the doctor, the lawyer, the waiter etc to ensure she achieves what she wants. So this makes me wonder whether she is schizophrenic as well. Paranoid schizoprenia, that is what she appears to be suffering from. She needs urgent medical help before she does more damage to herself and to others.
Granted that Prachi does not have the faults that Ayesha is imagining her to have.
Yes opti, that's the reason why I don't think to quote is right for the case.

Yup poor Ayesha, she doesn't seem healthy.

Btw I don't usually post such 'philosophical' post, and let me tell you why I did. You see I don't really watch TV, especially now that they are canceling Kayamath yet again, the TV really is a dead box. But today rather late afternoon I turned the TV on and it showed me a second (or maybe third) class local soap. A couple was dancing and singing in a garden full of flowers. It's fine that they were dancing and singing, after all they were in love. But the colorful flowers were plastic flowers stuck into real green bushes. Turned the TV off and fell into brooding mood. It was so offensive to my creative mind that I fell into philosophical mood. Ahem, never mind.

Edit: when I wrote 'creative mind' it means the part of people's brains that has the creative drive, not that I actually have a creative mind! Again never mind.
