If Aryaan was living in GV from childhood and Karthik would be residing in hostel considering Mr and Mrs. Goenka responsible for his mother's death...He was already distanced from them...Aryaan's presence would have caused any difference?

Karthik's POV

Soumya committed suicide because of Swarnish's extra marital affair (According to Karthik's POV previously)...With his father shifting entire focus to his new family (Suwarna-Aryaan) Karthik would be even more lonelier in childhood...when he was already fighting several battles inside...His mother's unnatural death...His father's extra-marital affair...His father giving place of his mother to Suwarna Gupta...Where presently biological siblings are unable to accept each other...Karthik accepting his half-brother would be more unlikely...though mistreating him is out of question but loving him like a brother while disliking his mother (Suwarna) is more unlikely...Lesser, equal or more importance being given to Ayaan would have affected Karthik and Aryaan...both of them...

Manish's Approach

Manish Goenka smart and disciplined business tycoon sent his son to reside in hostel in order to discipline him...He was compelled to conceal truth of Soumya's death therefore Karthik misunderstood him...considered him responsible for his mother's death...Manish's focus being shifted towards the newborn Aryaan could have distanced him from Karthik and Keerti even more...most likely...

Suwarna's POV

Suwarna didn't sacrifice her son merely for giving motherly love to Karthik-Keerti but for Manish too...as far as I've understood from segments...it all happened because they had to conceal truth of Soumya's death from Karthik-Keerti...A void was created in father-son relationship which might have deepened with Aryaan's presence...She isn't completely justified but her fears might turn to reality...where Manish's love for Aryaan could have distanced him from Karthik even more...

Though situation seem a clich where step-mother being overly sacrificing distanced herself from her own flesh and blood to give motherly love to her step children...in order to be fair and genuine in her approach with them she devoted her own son...but situation here is more complex...than it appears...it involves several psychological factors of child development...For child Karthik...Swarna Gupta wasn't only a step-mother but also a reason behind his own mother's death...a woman who distanced him from his father...destroyer of his small family's happiness and peace...Manish Goenka giving equal or more importance to Swarna Goenka and their son might have cause irreparable damage to a child's psyche...Though I'm not a fan of overly emotional character Swarna Goenka...but her approach wasn't completely wrong...Truly hope they handle this track well..

I agree Suvarna was completely wrong she had her own set of fears which caused her to act the way she did, but she is still at fault.

Yes I agree what she did was very unfair to Aryaan...she is definitely most at fault...it happens in real life too parents though love their children unconditionally are sometimes unfair while dealing with them and problems associated...

Aryaan had no attachment towards his mother nor real father. But attachment begins with a mother. Not having that secure bond of attachment, this affects Aryaan physically, intellectually and emotionally. Like you have said about Kartik, he too went through a lot and he too missed having that motherly affection alongside having a father's love on whom you can look up to. Regarding on not having that love, trust and attachment, this affects both Kartik and Aryaan socially too. Because this can affect how they act when interacting with others. It would be nice to see if Aryaan starts to witness that Kartik isn't a hurdle or it was a misunderstanding and he can start to love his brother.

I agree...both Karthik and Aryaan didn't have parents love...and it affected them socially...it affected their ability to let go of the past and live in present...it separated them from their other relations too...they are the sailor of same boat...though with opposite approach...
