OK... This actress is clearly the frontunner. I heard about her early this year when this movie got good reviews and especially raves for her performance.

She recently picked up the Best Actress at IFFI - reinforcing the strong likelihood of repeating at the upcoming NA.

If it DID happen, then this will be the second year in a row for Best Actress win from Malayalam films.

Will IF or media create big fuss over the potential back2back wins from this industry? 🤓 Any strong political connections as is always "purportedly" been the case (according to this forum) with previous winners 🤡 ???

Imagine Ji, is the Modi government going to be in power for 2018 NAs? I was so hoping Kajol might finally be able to win one for playing a Gujrati single mom. But that can only happen if Modi govt is in power cuz she has great relations with them and they will be biased towards her. 😭

But aapki darling is burning all her bridges. And you know these NAs are given on favoritism, otherwise we wouldn't be living in a world where Saif and Raveena have NAs for their "acting".

NA or no NA, Parvathy is an absolutely brilliant actress. That woman literally nails every single character of hers. She is one of the few who has managed to overshadow almost everyone from Dhanush, Fahad, Prithviraj etc. and makes a mark even in ensembles full of talented actors.

@Imagine she's in qarib qarib single ri8 ?? I wanted kangu or vidya to win for simran or TS...simran tanked so kangs ka chance nahi hai but vidya may win it...she was FAB

Hopefully my katty will win NA and other international awards (in some other life)

Recently I heard about the movie 'Take off' and also came across an article 'ditch TZH, watch Take off to know what REALLY happened in Iraq 😆. Looking forward to watching it.

Winning best actress in IFFI is in itself a remarkable feat. If she continues her winning streak in NA that would be wonderful.

She recently made her b/w debut with Irfan in quarib quarib singlle. I've seen a malayalam movie of hers 'Bangalore days' (with subtitles 😆). Beautiful coming of age drama I'd strongly recommend. She held her own brilliantly against a terrific ensemble cast.

In b/w sulu is the best portrayal this year IMO. I felt Sri went slightly overboard with her histrionics. Kangu's chances are bright next year with her legendary freedom fighter role which may inspire awards committee. 😛
