I don't think he told puneesh why Hiten would be a better captain than Akash. i thought i heard him say if you were to take out hiten the audience will think so and so of you.
Even in my post I mentioned that it was Vikas's goal to make Hiten the captain, and he surely succeeded in doing that, so good for him. My problem wasn't with him trying to make Hiten captain over Akash, at all. It was his approach. And though his approached worked, as a viewer, I am personally getting annoyed. I am usually turned off by anyone who thinks they are the smartest/wisest/know-it-alls, (i.e. Hina) so now that I am seeing a similar although really quite different scenario, with Vikas, it's putting me off.
You cannot possible know how the audience will react, and to believe that you do is plain ridiculous. This approach of his -- "if you do this, the audience outside will think this of you, etc. etc". is very annoying. I get that he has a way of always trying to make sure everything goes according to his wish, but as a watcher, its getting to the point where I am starting to get a tiny bit pissed, which is sad because I actually like Vikas [[sometimes]].
But at the end of the day - i still don't blame Vikas for today. I blame Puneesh for not being a good friend to Akash. But Akash HAS been a good friend to Puneesh.
