like i say..no one becomes a superstar due to nepotism
he is one..means he has won the audience..

his dad can produce a million movies with him..if the audience do not want to see him they would have all flopped

no one has the power of shoving anyone down anyone's throats..not even kjo..

it is the audience who want to see them..who love them..

they are going to the cinemas to see them..rakesh roshan or karan johar or any one else would not produce movies with these kids if they were running in empty cinemas..

HR is a total package..this guy would have been a huge star regardless..may be his struggle be a bit longer..but he would have emerged a star either way

and like some one mentioned..

i remember i was a teenager at that time..but every one was talking about refugee saying omg amitab's son and karisma's sister..no one took KHPH seriously initially and even HR coz he was rakesh roshan's son..who was no biggie..

it is same like in future aishwarya rai's daughter would be hyped to the skies vs lets say lara dutta's daughter..(i hate to bring in these kids in between this..but this is to give a much needed example here)

but HR became an overnight superstar..rakesh roshan did not pay people to drool over him and not find abhishek impressive..it was clearly HR alone..his craze was so gigantic at that time..and you know it is his own quality coz no one was even talking about the movie or him initially before release..the fact that kareena left this movie to be in refugee coz it was with THE amitab's son..says a lot too

Out the three Hrithik caught my eye and interest rather then over hyped Kareena and Abhisheik.
Maybe or maybe not who knows, his dad might have helped him but the rest was on his own that he managed to create a craze for himself.

Hrithik is a great actor, a great dancer, has great height, has great looks and personality, has amazing screen presence,a complete actor. What else do you need to make big in bollywood as a superstar?

I don't think so, his father gave him movies that played on and higglighed Hrithik's strength. Those movies also enabled Hrithik to achieve superstar status because they are cult and we're huge successes.
Would Aditya have casted Hrithik in Dhoom 2 if not for his status and achievements, would Agneepath and Jodha Akbar be offered to him?

Also Hrithik didn't seem to have a great script sense.

I should've probably ask if he would be able to become a star overnight if his dad is not a producer, yeah he is good looking, good actor, good dancer and super talented actor but there are many outsiders that are talented but they don't get the right opportunity at the right time. Rakesh Roshan might not be very famous actor but he surely is good director and producer that gave hit movies like Koyla, Karan Arjun and few more movies, he mentored HR so much that helped HR a lot, it's like KJo is mentoring Alia so much and it really helps a lot when u have a mentor that guides u and back-up ur career. Coming to Abhishek, it's a different situation, Abhishek entered in BW because of his dad's name and still gets movies because of his dad's connection but Amitabh Bachchan never produced any movies for him and I don't think Amitabh ever mentored him like Rakesh Roshan mentored HR, without KNPH, Koi Mil Gaya, Krish and Krish 2 that were produced by Rakesh Roshan, he would not able to able to show his talent and become successful, yeah he also gave super-hit movies like ZNMD, Jodha Akbar, Dhoom 2 and KKKG without Rakesh Roshah but he got most of these movies when he was already a big star.

Super stardom will happen to people who are meant for it.. PERIOD.
The family and opportunities are secondary to the talent and ambition every actor in the industry has, few years ago Ranbir kapoor was touted to be a superstar, now he is struggling for a decent solo hit, times change, names change, audience changes but Superstars will thrive against every debate. Salman thrived his bad phase. AB sr got rid of his poor run in 90s, Akki struggled but is invincible now, Hrithik overcame his physical issues, divorce, controversies and still will be the biggest star of your generation (2000s), if Hrithik was not meant to be a superstar, Rakesh Roshan or even Karan Johar would not be able to help him.

It is useless to debate about a 18 year old long career with numerous accolades, blockbusters, and historical appreciation from all over the world. Hrithik made Rakesh Roshan a proud father, there are very few proud fathers of star kids in the industry, RR is one of them.👍🏼

all these hypothesis are of no use..
one who is destined to shine will shine at any excuse
be it by virtue of his birth or by virtue of his talent n qualities..
else why was hr born at all to roshans?why was he nt born on footpath?
its his destiny he is living...so does every man n woman...

Yes. His dad himself couldn't be so successful as him and after the Khans, he has managed to do well in his own way. Most importantly, he has done some great work and proved his acting skills unlike other child actors.
