Well i think its a mix of both people remember the singers, but people also remember the actors there are loads of ppl that remember Kal ho na ho not only because of singer but also because of SRK and his face in the song, same way ppl remember Sau Dard and remember SK crying in the scene, same way ppl remember Pehla nasha and remember AK in his jersey slow motion choroegraphy celebrating his first love and dancing. So it s both really

indeed 😊but i have seen regarding salman and amir confession they stated its us the actors face who make the song popular what royalties does these singers are asking for during royalty issue ...on other hand i have always seen srk saying that i give half of my success to all my playback singers

Ya, in Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai, he says his career couldn't have worked out without Anu Malik or something along those lines :)

(don't remember exact words but he acknowledged Anu Malik's role in his success)
