To get the clear picture, we got in touch with CBFC member Vivek Agnihotri. He told us, "The truth is that they had sent it and every film or script has to have a disclaimer in the beginning whether it's a work of fiction or historical work. They have not sent that disclaimer. First you should ask whether the film is complete or not. And when it's complete, it will be viewed like any other film. The film hasn't reached to CBFC. When the film hasn't come, how can we view. When the script came, it didn't have any disclaimer."😲

<font face="Libre Baskerville, serif"><font color="#9900ff">They can show the movie to rajat and arnab but not cbfc, why ? how can cbfc give approval to movie without watching😲then they will blame government and cbfc</font></font>

Can we be sure Arnaab and Rajat were shown Padmavati that will be screened in theaters? How can anyone be sure that what will go on screen is what duo saw. I mean they saw it with out CBFC certification. So tomorrow they can always backtrack and say that this is not what we saw. Why did SLB really go through that route? It is rather dangerous precedent...😳

So they didn't even send in the movie? Just a script and that too without a disclaimer. But they were able to show the film to people like Arnab? That's pretty disorganized by the PV team then.

Obviously, the CBFC people are also dragging this issue because of SLB's move to show the movie to the media. But SLB and his team should be blamed too, it's clear that they didn't handle the negative press of the movie adequately. They took a risk by showing it to media people and it backfired on them.
