Part 1
The Escape

"Enough, Maan, I had enough of your childishness, you are only 21 and you want to go settle in the Himalayas, Dadima said angrily.
"Dadima, that sage told me that I would be a great apprentice, He said innocently recalling what the sage they met said. "Maan, I hate to do this but now its time to take extreme measures, Dadima spoke looking at Dev. He held his brother and somehow with the help of 10 people they locked him in his room. "Now this lock will be unlocked when you get this straight that in no way you are going to be a priest, Dadima spoke from outside his room.
Dadima forgot the many uses of windows, not windows of the computer, but the huge windows of the mansion. Maan made use of them and escaped in search of that sage. He left a note for Dadi and his little brother. Dadima opened the door for his diner but was shocked to find him no where, "Maaannn, She screamed angry at his sudden escape. She saw the note on the table and cursed herself for taking him there in the first place his father her son was on the same path but thankfully he fell for his mom and did not become a priest. Now she cursed herself for putting him in an all boys school and him not having a girlfriend, and just when she got an alliance for him, that stupid sage filled crap in his head and now he is gone. She went up to check her second grandson happy that he was fast asleep. Maan, on the other hand took a ticket to the place he wanted to go. He looked outside as his journey begun, thinking about how fuming his Dadi must be right now but well she might understand, and in all the thoughts he drift in to the dreamland.
He woke up when a fellow passenger told him it was his stop. He got down to greet the beauty of the Himalayas.
The chilly air hit him and he knew he had to take out his jacket now. He looked around and tried to find the address he was given by that sage. After walking which seemed like miles, he reached a small mountain village.
He went ahead and asked the local people for the address, they pointed at house and he got there. The sage looked at him and smiled, "So you are here."Yes, I am here to become your apprentice, Maan said talking blessings from the older man. "We will start your training tomorrow after getting you to bathe in the sacred kund (well), so it purifies your mind and body, The sage said. "As you say now Sir, Maan said. He was guided to little room with a mat on the ground, he kept his belongings there and went to freshen up. He slept uncomfortably on the given mat for the first day. "I will try harder, I have chosen this for myself, He thought with a firm determination. After a long time he slept somehow.
He was made to wake up at 4 in the morning to begin his journey to that sacred kund which was high up in the mountains. He walked still in half asleep state and reached the place after an hour long journey. He was asked to bathe in every kund (well) and the sacred kunds (wells) were 32 . After that he had to participate in a hawan , after all the formalities he was finally ready to be start his apprenticeship. The sage told him that he is now to start his pravachan (teachings) and he has to attend it with the other students. He entered there to find two other students there. "Sit down son, these are your classmates, Aditya and Yash, The sage told. "Ji Guruji, He said taking his blessings and joining his other two classmates. "Pratham (firstly) baat aaj se aap log dhyan rakhein, ye shareer nashvar (perishable) hai aur ye jag mithya (lie), humein sare moh maya (worldly desires) ka tyag (let go) kar dena chahiye, The sage said. "Guruji parantu (but) maine to Riya, Chaya ka bhi tyag kar diya Maya ke sath yahan aane se pehle, Yash said scratching his head narrating about his three girlfriends. Maan and Aditya stiffled their laughter hearing him while the sage chided, "Hum kanya ki nahi moh maya ki baat kar rahe hain putra, nari ka vichar bhi aap sab ke liye paap hai, naari se dur rahiye ye hai dusra niyam. Maan and Aditya nodded while Yash was still clueless but still nodded. The priest then assigned them a task for the rest of the day. The boys set out to their different tasks heading for a new journey. This was their start unknown to the future ahead. Maan walked ahead when he heard a melodious voice.
