Ranveer gets viciously TROLLED for comparing Khilji with the Joker

Ranveer Singh gets massively TROLLED for comparing Alauddin Khilji character to Heath Ledger's Joker

While we are still unsure if Padmavati will be able to make it to its release date of December 1, 2017, Ranveer Singh is leaving no stones unturned in promoting the film in his own small way. Amidst all the controversies surrounding the release of the film, Ranveer Singh shared an image on his official social media accounts and turns out it didn't go down well with most of the trolls.

The image in question is a photoshopped one where two of the biggest villains of Hollywood namely Alex DeLarge from The Clockwork Orange and Joker from The Dark Knight are merged with Ranveer Singh's Alauddin Khilji from Padmavati. The three faces are merged in such a way to make it look like a single face. It's like all three are versions of a single persona.

But the fact that Ranveer compared his performance of Alauddin Khilji to Joker didn't go down well with trolls.

While one commented, "Dear sir please stop comparing yourself with a legend. No one in Bollywood has capability to reach that level", "Photo of heath ledger in between? W*F do you think of yourself.. You're just 10 films old, including some not-so-good (flop) films!
Come back to earth!!!", "Dudeee...no. That's just embarrassing. Don't do that to yourself mate. You're in Bollywood a film industry based and run on money unlike Hollywood which devotes itself to art.", "This is the problem with bollywood, in just one role they start comparing themselves with legend Heath Ledger. Bhai pahle sahi se Amrish Puri ya Amjad khan hi ban jao..."

If he thinks he has done a good job and wants to compare himself with iconic villains I don't see any problem there.
BW and HW works differently, their way of emoting is different to us and Amrish Puri's mogambo or Amjad Khan's Gabbar will be OTT for them while we enjoyed it.
Glorification of HW level of acting while putting down our own actors isn't new. Yes we go OTT and we haven't reached their level of technology but why can RS not think he nailed his part just like HL nailed his?
And what is all this bs about oh how can you compare yourself to meryl or heath or blah blah kyun bhai acting unko hi aati hai?

But I find the above quoted tweet a bit problematic .. Amrish Puri & Amjad Khan are legends in their own right .. So why put them down like this ? .. Artists are Artists - be it Hollywood , Bollywood or any other industry ..

Anyways , the topic made it clear that these are the tweets by some of the twitter trolls .. So why bother ... 😆

I don't think it was a disrespect towards amrish puri or amjed khan. They are both legends in bollywood and to match their artistic excellence would be a tough job, but still they do not enjoy the same stature globally or even in HW... so probably the guy meant that Ranveer should first attain a legendary status in his own country & BW and then think about comparing himself with international legends like Heath ledger...
