Sidharth Malhotra: I don't think marriage is essential, live-in relationships are just as intimate

Sidharth Malhotra opens up about marriage and romance in an interview.

Sidharth Malhotra who is basking in the success of his latest release, Ittefaq, has been widely appreciated for his performance in the film. Sidharth has some interesting projects lined up with Aiyaary being one of them.

Sidharth spoke to a leading magazine and opened up about dating and marriage. On his thoughts about romance, he said, "I trust my instincts. If I bump into an interesting woman, I don't wait to plan a date. I'd rather ask her out for dinner right then. It has happened often enough, and I have had some great conversations.

He also said, "More than physical attributes, I look for an interesting personality, though I won't deny I find long and loose hair very sexy."

"I find it very cute when a woman makes the first move. But I can't come down heavily on a woman who is playing hard to get, either. I pride myself on being a good listener and observer, and I'd rather make sure she knows that I remember the tiny details that matter to her," Sidharth said.

He also stressed on the need for some space in a relationship. Sidharth said, "When I am doing my own thing, I want her happy by herself and secure about her worth. A woman like that, I would die to come back to.

He also shared his thoughts on marriage and said, "I don't think marriage is essential, live-in relationships are just as intimate. You get to be with each other, and see each other through your ups and downs. Does that need to come with a social sanction? Ofcourse, when I am ready to become a father, I would want to marry and give my child the security of a family man."

This is surprising. I actually like his views even though am not particularly fond of him as an actor. He only wants to marry for children. Not a bad reason at all.

Change of tune. Looks like he finally understands the concept? 😆

Live-in relationships?
There's a word for it marriage. Why not just get married? I don't understand the concept of live-in relationships.

Well, true, but there are many who change their views about these things over time. 😆

This is strange to me because you can't see SidMal & think he believes in all this. But that's what's interesting about humans! Live-in relationships can be good to get to know each other over time. Whatever works for the individual + partner.

My kinda guy 😳 he is pretty cute and I do like his stance regarding live in relationships and marriage. Don't get married unless absolutely necessary 😉 it's an outdated concept anyway 🥱

Interesting thoughts. In India, marriage becomes almost essential if you plan to have kids. Otherwise, kids don't enjoy many rights. In other countries, paternity/maternity are enough for rights irrespective of marriage.
Anyway, I like his views. They reflect some thoughtfulness.
