@Shreya Sony is kind of jumping the digital wagon. Beyhadh had good promos and I feel Kuch Rang ke also got promos. And you are right, most of the non TRP audience are shifting to web and love to watch short series than this prolonged 300-500 episode sagas.
@Mangothyme yes RKC is finite. I also agree to you. Story is developed. I watch it for the script and the performance of the actors. I am also fine if it run for another 2-3 months without much interference to the story and then end it. If they dont change the script to please the TRP audience they will find audience for it outside India. Already RKC is a hit in UK and it is one of the top 3 shows in overnight ratings. EHT was also not a big hit in India and ended in 8 months, but it was a big hit in UK then Srilanka, Middle East etc.
POW-Bandhi Yudh ke the adaptation of American Series Homeland was one of the best scripted shows I saw in television in recent times. It fared very badly with our TRP audience, but won awards in Seoul International awards, 3 awards in ITA and has been nominated for Asian Awards also.
@hina oh I didnt know many ppl left SP. Actually SP bought good shows but didnt knew how to carry it forward. Sumit Sambhal Lenga was a beautiful light hearted series for me, but even that didnt get TRP. Badthameez Dil started with a good concept, but they butchered the story in the name of TRP. You need to see the show how it started and how it ended to understand the bad writing that went with it mid way.
