This serial is nothing short of a brainwave for BT. For once they've hit the right buttons.😃

Apart from being a laugh riot, I love the way it pokes fun at its own stupidities...that requires a lot of guts and strong sense of security.

But what the best thing about the show is that almost every character is rounded. That point was brought home to me in last night's episode...that, the serial can hold its own even in the absence of its lead character, namely Ranbir. He gives it the ultimate comic/romantic touch but the comdey can still be sustained even if he isn't there.

Yesterday, every character came into his own. Even that thief. Reva wouldn't hire anyone but the best. Yet, this fellow was so funny, scared of his own shadow. Loved the way he got bested by my favourite bai, Shanta tai!!🤡

Pammi, Anand and Harpal were wonderful too. They got the emotional-comic timing so right. I love that boy Harpal....hope he doesn't change in the future. I simply adore Anand-Pammi...what a loving relationship they have. What understanding.👏

And Shanaya-Devika, shanya-ayaan were wonderful too. For once Devika spoke sense...not that she will for long...that red hair and watermelon nightie made her look like the devil she is!!

Ayaan, I think, wasn't immune to Shanaya though her efforts to attract him were so funny! Her moves actually reminded me of Kareena's awful dance in Don. But, I definitely think it had its desired effect on Ayaan...he couldn't drink enough water to cool himself down....next best thing to a cold shower, I guess. 😆 Again, I see that as a very realistic touch. Shanya may be dumb as they come but she's quite the looker minus the baby fat. So, it's natural he feels all hot under the collar! Hated his shiny silk PJ's though....looked too feminine🤢

And, what to say about the last scene..that whack on the head, knocking him out cold....I guess, Kanya-Shanta are going to drag him (that ought to make for another hilarious scene) to their bedroom and seeing Kanya ministering to ayaan may just tip Ranbir over from saying "Yuck.." to "Ouch, that hurts!"😭

I agree the secondary characters have to be fully developed with interesting stories of their own. And KIT seems to have quite good acting talent on their hands. They may be annoying but you got to give credit to the actresses potraying Rewa & Shanaya, they are doing quite a good job and probably have the capabilities of holding a storyline together.

If too much focus is just given to the lead pair, then the story risks just becoming a series of seperations and reunions between them (e.g. Kasam Se & Kayamath). As much as I missed the RanKan scenes in yesterday's episode, I will be glad if the writers take things slowly and develope the story between them properly. I don't want to see a hasty get together between them and then a few weeks later they bring about an equally hasty seperation in order to sustain the viewer's interest.

Sorry i think that the actress protraying reva isnt all that good, she just comes across as very stiff..but that will change as she gets use to the camera.. or so i hope..just my opinion dont mean anythin to you personally..😃

As for shanaya yeah that girl does nothing for me i dont find her funny or sad. she fails to move me in any direction so again i dont think that BT should be putting the bulk of the weight onto these 2 characters for the actresses are very novice and it shows...

the only character that can carry this show on her shoulders is Shantai tai and she does it perfectly... an amazing coup for KIT that they signed her from after virrudh..

And for the actress protraying devika, well if you hate her then she's doing her job prefectly, and thats a sign of a good actress, wheather they can sway the viewers to feel something for the character..

okay thats just my two cents hope i didnt offend anyone...

regards

I very much agree. The serial did hold on without Ranbir yday..I did miss him,but didnt miss RanKan,which is surprising cause I started to watch the serial just for that pair and of course my Shanta tayee 😆 😆 ..
Like Pammi-anand verymuch..Good actors and fantastic timing, strangely liking Ayaan-shanaaya 😕 ,Aditya etc etc and the plotters .I do miss Pooja though..

Definitely my first K serial experience which Im not watching just to see the leads...Yay
