After impressing the audience with his acting chops in the bi-weekly show, 'Arjun', which featured him in the title role, Shaleen Malhotra is finally making his debut in the daily soap space. He will be seen as the male lead in 'Laado - Veerpur Ki Mardaani', a sequel to 'Na Aana Is Des Laado'. The actor is evidently excited about his new journey.
He says, "Technically, this is my first daily soap. I have always been a part of bi-weekly shows, including 'Arjun'. I'm glad that I am making my debut in the daily soap genre with 'Laado' as it is not a regular show featuring a typical hero. It has a larger canvas and deals with an important social stigma. The show will highlight the problem or the crimes we hear of every now and then. So, it's not just an entertainment show, but is infotainment. I wasn't really sure about how it would be for me to take it up, but I must thank my manager Rupesh Sonar for convincing me to do it. It's a new world for me and a new learning curve. I am excited and nervous at the same time."
Shaleen couldn't have asked for a better debut than this as the cast boasts of seasoned actress Meghna Malik and the talented Avika Gor. He is all praises for his co-stars. He tells us, "The best part is that the cast is exceptionally good. All of them are seasoned actors and brilliant performers. Apart from it being a fun shoot, I am also getting to learn a great deal from them. There is no shame in admitting that I am the least experienced in the lot. But that's working in my favour as when you are working with good artistes, your performance also improves. The crew, too, is competent and helpful."
