Part #9

Next day RK went to the hospital before going to college to check on Malik condition. He found out that Malik is better now he is conscious now. RK ordered to move him to regular room then he went to visitors hall to give the good news to Padmini and Madhu. He found them sleeping in chairs hugging each other supporting each other. They wake up when they heard his footsteps.

"Doctor. You are here that early. Is my father alright?" Madhu

"Don't worry Ms. Malik. Your father is better now. He is conscious now. And transferred to regular room. He is out of danger. You can go and see him" RK

Padmini and Madhu ran the moment he said they can see Malik then Madhu turned to ask him about room number he answered her before she even ask

"Room 305" RK

"Thanks doctor" Madhu

"Papa" Madhu run to her father the moment she enters his room with Padmini

"Don't ever do this for us again. Don't you know how scary we were? We thought we lost you" Padmini. Then she and Madhu broke down in tears hugging Malik

RK was going out the hospital when he heard man voice asking about Mr. Malik room number he turned around to see man holding Aryan and Trish in his hands

"Are you asking about Mr. Malik room?" RK

"Yes. How is he?" Sultan

"He is better now. You can visit him. Room 305" RK

"Thank you" Sultan

RK smiles at Aryan and then go out wondering. Who is this man? He has Madhu brother and sister. He seems close to the family.

In college

Deepali and Ria talking with each other

"Do you know when Madhu will come back?" Deepali

"No her father condition is really bad" Ria

"So what will we do? There are midterm exams next week. And I don't understand anything. And Madhu is not here to help us. What can we do?" Deps

"I really don't know Deps. I get headache from thinking in the exams" Ria

"I have idea" Deps

"What?" Ria

"You don't need to know. Just wait and I will get someone to help us" Deps

"Who?" Ria

"Prince of the college" Deps

"How?" Ria

"None can resist Deepali" Deps

"OMG Deps. Can you do it?" Ria

"Sure" Deps

RK in his office reading a book when someone knocked on his door

"Come in" RK

"May I come in sir" Deepali

"Sure. What do you need?" RK

"I have some questions in ananesthesiology" Deepali

"Ok ask" RK

Deepali walks in toward his disk and sat in chair facing RK and she starting to ask her question, then she started to unbutton her three top buttons from her blouse

"It is getting really hot these days. I feel I can't breathe" Deepali breathing very fast, as she will faint

"You need fresh air" RK turn off AC and move to open the window

"I feel dizzy. I can't breathe" passing her hands on her chest seductively. RK got confused from what she was doing. Then she fainted. He went to her. He checked her pulse. Looked in her eyes. Then he got angry realizing that she is faking it

"Get out" RK shouts at Deepali. She stands up and get close to him

"What is wrong? Why are you mad like this?" Deepali

"I said get out. And if you tried your cheap tricks again I will report you" RK

"But doctor. I didn't do anything" Deepali playing innocence after knowing her trick didn't work.

"I said get out. And don't ever come to my office again. Is that clear" RK

"Yes doctor" Deepali running out of his office

In the evening RK went to hospital and he entered Malik room to check on him. And he found Padmini, Madhu, Aryan, Trish and the man he met in the morning

"How is he now doctor?" Madhu

"He is better now. He can leave hospital in two days. But like I said he will need to change his lifestyle" RK

"Sure doctor I understand" Madhu

"Thanks to God that uncle in getting better aunty" Sultan

"He is Sultan our neighbor. He toke care of Aryan and Trish last night" Padmini spotting RK looking at Sultan wondering

"We met in morning" RK nods at Sultan

"Madhu your midterm exams are next week. I think you should go home and prepare for your exams" RK

"But papa I can't leave him" Madhu

"No Madhu your studies are the most important" Malik

"Madhu you go home I'm staying here with your father. Don't worry my dear. Go and study" Padmini

"Take this notebook. You will find everything your colleagues toke in this week. I marked the important parts for you" RK

"Thank you doctor" Madhu amazed by his good behavior toward her

"Sultan please take Madhu and the kids with you to the house" Padmini

"Sure aunty. Do you need anything else?" Sultan

"No son. Thank you" Padmini

Madhu asks her mother if she needs anything from her then she walks out hospital with Sultan and her brother and sister. While RK looking at them doesn't know why he feels uncomfortable.

Dear diary

This week was the hardest of my life. Seeing my father in this condition. When he was laying down unconscious, my whole world destroyed. And when he wasn't breathing and his heart stopped I felt that my heart will stop too. But thanks to God he sent to us RK. He helped me to control myself and to save my father life. Then he toke him to hospital and did everything my father needed. He even didn't accept any money from us. He is doing it all for free. I think he is kind person after all. But he still my worst nightmare as a teacher. I don't know how does he do it. To control himself like that. In college with his student is a person and in hospital with his patients he is completely another one. I always know him as a teacher. This time I saw him as a doctor. He is really good and talent doctor. He is a leader in his team. I learnt a lot just by watching him work. So confident so smart with strong personality. Everyone respects him and follow his orders. I wish to be like him in future. To save lives like he saved my father life. If he wasn't with us I don't know what would happen to my father and to us all. Seeing someone close to you in pain is the hardest thing in this world. I felt that I would have nerves breakdown. I almost lost my strength. But seeing Sultan today. Just with his tender look, I forgot all the pain I have been through. When I look in his caring eyes. All the sadness go away. It is like looking in deep Blue Ocean. Being close to him while we walked home. I felt if we are living in our own world. Where there is none except him and me. For years now, he walks with me to college and back home but from distance, we never talk. But tonight he was right beside me. breathing the same air I breathe. I felt safe. Oh when this day will come. When I walk with you hand in hand. When I walk with you as your wife. When you say all your unspoken feelings. When I can say to you I love you without hesitation. Oh I pray for that day to come soon. I can't wait till that day Sultan.

Dear diary

Today I visited Malik's house to check on Mr. Malik. He is much better now thanks to God. Seeing him at home with his family is such a relieve. For the first time I realize that we are not saving people lives only. We are saving complete families. Before I was consider my patient just a person I do my best to save his life. But now I consider him as a family will suffer if this patient suffered. Getting closer to Maliks made me better person as a doctor. I feel that I can do anything for this family be happy and healthy. They are the family I wish I had. I give anything to be member of this loving family. Today Mrs. Malik called me son. I felt strangely good hearing her say that word to me. It really shocked me. I felt love I never felt before. I felt warmth in her voice I never sense it before even from my mother. She is really very loving and tender mother. I envy her kids. To have mother like her. If there is any way to make sure that I will have loving family like this when I marry. If there is anyway to be part of this loving family. I really can't accept that I will not visit them again. I feel them very close to me. I want to be in this family. And I want to make my future family like them. I think I know how. Now Ms. Malik I need to keep my eye on you. Not to make sure that you will be a great doctor. Because you already are a good doctor from now. But to make sure you deserve the name Madhubala Rishabh Kundra.
