You and I must be watching a different serial because the Pandits teaching has stuck for the most part. Anami is the one who initiates the Durga Puja, when the goddess needs a blood sacrifice Anami steps forward. She also carries the statue from falling, she saves Poonam from molestation. She is kind to Poonam and servants. She is kind to Narottam who is punished for being the illegitimate son of the heir for no fault of his with no expectations. She helps and teaches little children. She saved Vikram from burning. She forgets things like Darthi Pranam, but Pagli Pandithayen always reminded her.
Why is Anami rude ? who is she rude to ? Mostly to people like Pujan, Avdoot and most of all Satrupa. Satrupa wants to be called Mom when she has done nothing to bond with Anami, gave her up 17 years ago, threatens the Pandits with ruin every time she wants Anami to behave and Anami is supposed to be nice to her. Why should she ? Even today Satrupa thinks its her Haq to be called Mom and Anami will write about her. To Anami, Satrupa is a stranger. Madhoo is the mother.
Anami is annoying, bratty especially when she cut the tutors hair. But Satrupa should have corrected her, instead she paid a tutor off. Even a dog needs lessons, kids need to be told what is right and wrong. That is why we have parents. Anami is not 20, she is 17 in a new environment. Satrupa should make efforts to bond with her, not threaten her. She must be grateful to the Pandits, not threaten them with jail or ruin. Anami is immature, but Satrupa is mature. I expect better behavior from Satrupa and LM wasis before I expect better from Anami though I agree she is annoying at times.
