Firstly apologies for being so late to anyone who was waiting. I usually watch at work and today I just didn't have time so watching now that I'm finally at home. This will happen once in a while. Be rest assured that unless I tell you in advance, the reviews will be up. 😉 And now onto my review.
Big money or big waterfall - I don't know I just found this scene quite symbolic. Sitting in front of a waterfall, Ranvir and his dad spoke about big money, share prices, and business. The waterfall was clear as plastic. You could see through it. Similarly the conversation seemed as clear as plastic. But was it really? Ranvir spoke about air having strength to bend a tree or tree having strength to stop air and then called himself strength. That's what it comes down to. Takat. Somewhere it seems that Ranvir has an inkling of who tried to bring Raichand Industries down. That is why he upped the price of whatever deal the two were talking about it. It's his way of showing strength and not bending because if he was the tree or the air he would have either accepted the pause or begged for the deal to go through. What I found symbolic in this scene was that the waterfall was so big. Was it a simple show of money? No. It also showed that this is much larger than just these 2 people.
Ranvir's game - Ranvir played a smart game once again. He quickly turned the tables on Aanchal. She was fully sure that Kabir was the murderer and was trying to trap her, but he turned her suspicion around once again. He bailed her out and offered to buy her with the truth, giving her a chance to get to the truth in reality. He knows that whatever the truth is it won't implicate him or his brother or his family, but it will allow him to use her as a pawn for his means. Bailing out Aanchal led to his arrest, but it'll also lead to a bigger goal. What that is remains to be seen, but a calculative man like Ranvir knew that Aanchal would find evidence. He also knew that he would be arrested again. And he also knows that he will be freed. Ranvir not only played a game with Aanchal, but also with Kabir. Kabir is impulsive and he knew that if he remained outside without a definite end to the case, Kabir would continue to make moves that could ruin his end game plan. So he got arrested again and is getting Kabir to investigate and find the real murderer knowing full well that Kabir's love for bade will take him to any level.
Sarika versus Jatin - Sarika is just like Ranvir. Calculative, thoughtful, analytical. She knows when to use power, when to use blackmail, and when to take a backseat to get things done. On the other hand, Jatin is like a more mature version of Kabir it seems. He's more impulsive and reacts quicker to things, but he has also matured to the level where he thinks before he acts and sees the deeper meaning to anything being said as was evident in the first scene between Ranvir and him. He understood Ranvir's deeper motives behind cancelling the deal and demanding double and he also understands why Ranvir chose to go to jail. But he reacted quickly and too fast to the power cut. By now he should understand his wife, but obviously he doesn't, which goes to show how calculative Sarika can be.
The truth - Today there was a lot of talk about the truth. Ranvir believes that the truth is above all. Aanchal believes the same. But Kabir does not. Interesting. Very interesting. Ranvir believes that the truth cannot be fabricated, but is that really true? Buy enough people and even a lie can become a truth. Tell yourself something enough times and you can believe it to be true. What is truth? Is it fact? But who makes it fact? You and me. If I say 2 + 2 is 4, then you believe me and you call it true. But if I say 2 + 2 is 5 and enough people say it, then suddenly that becomes the truth. If I look at a glass and say it's half full, I'm not lying. But if you say it's half empty, you aren't lying either. The truth is our way of looking at something. Ranvir claims that he did not do anything. Sure he may not have done anything to Meenu, but is that the full truth? Aanchal claims that Ranvir is behind everything, but is he really? Wasn't it Kabir who left her in the middle of the ocean? Then how is it the truth when she blames Ranvir for the same? Ranvir claims that the truth can be seen in his eyes. But eyes can lie. If I see a knife in your hand and a dead body on the ground, my eyes can say you committed that murder. But that same knife may have been used for self-defence by you or you may have pulled it out of a body in a bid to save him. Basically what I'm trying to say is that the truth is not as simple as Aanchal believes it to be or Ranvir is playing it out to be. The truth is whatever you can make another believe or prove with enough facts to make it seem real and that is exactly what is going to happen tomorrow.
Acting - Once more I have to say, Zayed has improved tremendously in just 4 days. The same guy that was robotic and expressionless in the first episode has fine-tuned the art of subtle face expressions while keeping an emotionless face. He has improved the most from the 3 main leads. Vatsal was also a lot better today, but given he didn't have too much air-time I guess it's too little to judge on. Nikita does need to improve a bit more in the stoic expressions, otherwise she is doing well.
