an enemy who plays the mind games, and weakens you emotionally and finally breaks you piece by piece is worse than the one who plays it openly..seems Meera's father falls into the first category, and is the major reason behind the distances between Khurana family, mainly between Vicky and Maan..
I hope, Vicky understands this better now, and also gets support from Maan in his battle..United they stand, divided they fall :)

Wow awesome update yaar
Maan is falling for geet and her cute antics but he doesn't know or accept the fact that how can he falls for her wen he loved sam as he never loved her the way he loves geet
Geet is also falling for maan still knowing that he has been taken
Chapter 33: Remembrance of the curse before
Maan watched Geet for a while with a soft smile before pushing her to the pillow and slowly moving out of the bed. Dadi had called last night to inform him of her stay at a friend's, though she sounded worried he didn't pester, a part of him knowing that he was the cause. Always the cause and never the solution; that was Maan Singh Khuranna in a phrase. But now he didn't want to think of himself rather the sleeping angel in front him.
'Geep so gaye ho' he had asked looking over her shoulder, wanting to see that face that was turned away from him and towards the wall.
'Nahi' she responded with a humph, sitting on the bed
'Kya hua, you need anything' he probed getting up to sit beside her on the bed and pulled her hand into his
'My family' she teared feeling her radiating head which hummed in pain
'But you just spoke to Trishna bhabi'
'That's not the same' she argued shoving his hands away in stubbornness. It was then he decided to keep quiet, that look in her eyes told him clearly she'll fight if she had to so instead he pushed her back against the headboard and rubbed her forehead to ease the pain. Their silence was disturbed by coughs which she tried to eat away but couldn't and resulted into rasp coughs.
'Easy' he brushed looking away from her angry eyes
'Sorry' he apologised when her annoyed gaze continued, sorry for what?' he wanted to vent but then seeing her smile in a little ease made him a happy man. He could continue to apologise for nothing, if only she smiled.
'We have a sleep over whenever I fall ill; Darji takes the wooden rocking chair and stays up until I don't fall asleep, chachu and Tauji sit on the sofa which papa or Brij veerji sleep on later in the night, mama sleeps beside me along with Taiji and chachi, and my bhabi's and brothers sit around all night if they have to, until I don't command them to go to bed' she shared with a furlong stare. Maan again was made aware how loved this girl was, her family absolutely cherished her.
'But here I'm all alone' she cried with accusing eyes, flapping those stubborn arms and crossing it over her chest in anger, those beautiful lips out in a pout and her face a shade clearly representing the mix of emotions she felt. But the only thought he had was disturbing; an ill-intension to devour those sulking lips until they shined with a smile.
'I'm scared to be alone but you don't even care' she cried throwing her face into her palm, feeling really emotional remembering her family who would have broken the house down with her being this ill but here everything was rather controlled. Which showed no one cared, dadima wasn't here and nor was Vicky. Both away and maybe stayed away knowing she's ill and didn't want to catch a cold. Though, her brain rubbished that theory but she was too ill to stop her the heart and its thoughts.
'Main hoon na' he declared curling his arms around her tired shoulders
'I watched that movie' she whispered pulling of the darkness she tried pushing into, to look at him in aghast
'Have you now?' he cackled making light of the situation but it had the reverse effect of Geet, throwing his arms away in a huff. Her innocent mind not understanding his said words rather relating to the movie.
'Geet I don't know whether I or anyone can love you like your family, but I promise to care for you to the best of my abilities' he promised pulling her to him, so she sat on his lap. There was a look on her face, a surprised look mixed with something he didn't understand but she had calmed down and then both spoke to Brij veerji who rang to find out about Geet's health. Apparently, everyone was tensed at home and Tito caused more stir by informing everyone about Maan's foolishness. If they knew, no one said anything as he reported over Geet's condition and then spoke for a while to her family before she took over, talking animatedly about work and life and everything that seemed of any interest while Maan watched with a tender smile seeing her relax, finally drifting to a soothing sleep in his arms with the phone still plastered against her cheek. He remained like that until he too drifted to the lands of dream.
He stood over her head, gazing affectionately at the made adorable faces she made in her sleep. It seemed as if she was fighting with a dream, a dream which he hoped was about him. As if on cue, his insidious hands that lay stationed to his side suddenly wanted to start from where he finished last night, on those luscious lips. Heat emanated to her innocent cheek instantly, responding to him even in her sleep. An action which pleased him entirely. His thump tenderly grazing her bottom lip and then stopped in the middle to pull it down. He was getting intoxicated as a sigh whispered from her, letting his heart decide; he bend ever so slowly until he could feel Geet's warm breath on his tingling skin. His eyes grew in smouldering heat as did his desire to devour her.
Beep beep beep
The alarm on his phone rang marking his usual timing, but this time it was unwelcomed and unwanted. Grunting out loud, he switched it off and headed towards his bedroom for the usual morning routine leaving the task that plagued his mind a few minutes ago, incomplete. Somewhere down the line, it was appreciated. Realising what he was about to do, scared him slightly. Geet might be his wife, but kissing her while she's sleeping isn't the way to go about it nor is it right to make a move without fully acknowledging his feelings towards her, and right now all he could feel was immense attraction and desire.
He found himself in the shower, but the burning after effects of his desire still overpowering his senses and then he thought of what she said last night, as a mean of escaping her physical pull. Geet was loved and wanted the same from him, was it possible and even if it is, was it possible to love like her family. The only love he experienced was broken in bits and pieces!
Maan sluggishly walked towards the dining table, his head bowed down in temporal pain and nose singing a tune similar to the whistles of the wind. There wasn't the usual hop to his steps, as he came down the stairs and accompanied his dadima and brother at the dining table for breakfast.
'Bas tora sa' Dadima cajoled little Vicky while he sat on the other end watching with envying eyes. It wasn't that he was jealous but after the sudden dismiss of his parents last year, all the love seemed to be showered onto his 4 year old brother while he stood at the peripheral awaiting some attention. 10 year old Maan was experiencing changes, the good student was building into a rebel of some sort. Unfortunately, dadi was too busy to know and the nanny was too preoccupied to care, leaving Maan to his own devices.
'Archoo' he sneezed finally breaking into Dadima's attention
'Beta are you ok?' she asked while walking around the table to where he sat, worry written all over her face
'O my, you've got a cold' she stated feeling his burning head
'Neeta get the thermometer and Nakul call for the doctor' she shouted at the nanny with instructions, distressing over her eldest grandchild who finally left happy even in the most unusual way. His younger brother watched with big beady eyes as Maan raised a brow falling against his dadima's chest with a content smile. This was a battle but funnily enough it felt like it was, Vicky alone after what felt like a decade while he hugged tighter smiling against Dadi's warming touches
'I don't feel so well' he exaggerated, finally someone showed they cared. He, who was almost neglected for the past few months, was shown care and love. The last time Dadima showed any response was when he got into a fight, and after that his misbehaviour continued realising that only his bad behaviour caught her attention and not the good, even the certificates where sometimes forgotten in front of a hurting Vicky or the falling business.
'Neeta check it, will you' dadima asked passing over the thermometer as she answered the ringing phone, plastering it to her ear she walked a few steps away as Maan grew cold, and then anger emancipated as he saw Dadima leave through the front door looking very much stressed and he, well he remained there for a few minutes before slamming the plates on the floor in absolute hate. No one cared, he was ill and no one cared. So the next hour, he found himself in school hanging around the new boy in town, Rahul. Someone who showed interest towards him, and someone who stood by encouraging the rebel within him. That afternoon, both the boys were caught truanting school. An act which displeased Dadima, so much so he was grounded. But unfortunately that did nothing to Maan, instead the gang of insolent boys increased and so did Maan's disinterest in family. His friends became his new support, they stood by him although through the bad things. But little Maan was too young to understand. Like when caught smoking, he raged on about peer pressure; or when drunk, he blamed Dadima of not understanding. He always had a reason, someone to blame always for the tests and trials he failed in life. While Vicky aged through his mistake; never repeating them seeing Dadima's worrying eyes. Eventually Maan did fall into character, after college when Rahul moved to settle in New York. But that too was short lived, as Sameera entered his life and ruined him further. It wasn't that he didn't love his family, it was more that he felt left out in his own family. Hence, he took to others to find that happiness, that love, that care; which unfortunately always fell short in front of his expectation. But needless to say, he gave love out in abundance, thinking that it'll make up for the loss love which it didn't, not in Rahul's case or in Sameera's, or the other friends that come and go, expecting favours and he foolishly acts accordingly. Had he once given that time and care to his dadi and brother, then maybe today would have been different. He would have been different. He would have been respected, and not just a name tag; though both loved him but they also thought of him as a liability. Something he is aware of, and something which further pushed him away.
'Maan baba' Nakul screamed bringing Maan out of his blurry past. A past he had not forgotten, it made him the Maan he was today. A Maan who still somewhere craved for love and attention. Someone who also held himself in the highest regards. Was it selfish or was it self-awareness, one can argue nevertheless it was Maan thinking of only himself? Was that to change soon?
'Kya hua?' he shouted back, stepping out the shower with a towel draped around his waist. The after effects of the memory still running through his sour veins.
'Geet's crying' Nakul urged with worrying eyes and Maan ran for the door in worry. Maybe it wasn't too late, maybe Maan could change after seeing love in the eyes of someone who truly, soulfully loves him. But will he realise in time?
A/N: There you go, Maan's past life; he needed a reason for his actions and this is what I came up with. I'm sorry if it's a mismatch from the beginning of the story, but all these breaks from writing isn't helping. I hope it makes sense.

Chapter 34: Melting curse
'What's wrong?' his question entered into the room before he did, but when he did so did his distressed face and sweaty heart; pleadingly watching her traumatised face.
'Geet please don't do this to me' he whispered trying to go around her, while she hid herself away standing in front of the window with her face angled away. She was doing it on purpose, trying to shield her grieving heart.
'Geet' he prayed holding her stiff shoulders ever so gently that was moving away, a conscious attempt to seize her heart into a stationary position.
'Kya hua?' he asked as he finally gave up trying to turn her towards him, inside he curled his long arms around her waist pulling her to his chest. Initially she fought, trying to move back out, gnawing at the folded arms at her midriff. But when he put his chin to her shoulder and pressed a little kiss behind her ear, she had no option but to stop. He had yet again weakened her resolve.
'No one loves me here' she alleged in a weak voice meeting the ground, as wetness prickled down her delicate eyes and met with his rough skin, piercing the weak spots in his persona.
'That's not the case' he uttered closing his eyes as she shivered in emotion, the heat of her body reduced from last night meaning one thing, she was getting better yet the her hurting heart was getting worse.
'It is' she argued pushing at his iron hands which stood strong and rooted, even increasing in pressure. As if trying to show her, she was loved.
'IT IS' she shouted this time, finally breaking out the cage he put her in. She then turned towards him, an underlying current of rage flowed through her docile veins, her happy vibe turning deaf to the closing shadows of darkness.
'It's true, no one cares for me here. You all want me out, I'm a little mistake. I'm your forced wife' she cried backing away until her warm back hit the cold wall cruelly. Maan too moved a step back, shocked seeing a Geet different, he had seen so many shades of her but this was new, this was fresh.
'You don't love me' she cried louder this time when all he did was shake his head in negative, as if trying to oppose but words failed him, he couldn't say a thing as her tears thrashed that little hope that was growing with their closeness
'I wake up this morning to a cold room, no one around and no one to care. I'm always alone here. I hate to be alone, I scared to be alone, I'm scared of the dark, and I'm too weak and ill. I'm all alone in a big massive house with walls as my only family. I'm ...'
'also cursed and imprisoned waiting for my Prince who never came, instead I'm stuck with you' she wanted to shout but couldn't as furious lips covered her own, eating away those words with passion and fervour.
Maan who stood listening to her accusation, suddenly cracked. Her tears, her broken voice needed to stop because his heart was contracting in excruciating pain and he needed that to stop. So without much heed, he leaped forward and latched onto those moving lips, only to stop her but soon it wasn't about stopping her no more rather it was about stopping himself from this wholesome feeling that evaporated his sanity and extended his desire. It was about unlocking that honey that resided within her, it was about the sweetness that burst like firecrackers as his tongue explored new regions. You see it was about everything but the rationale.
On reflex Maan moved his hands, so one positioned her head perfectly matching his and the other snaky thing wrapped around her waist pulling her closer. So close that their heart felt each other's vibration. He was lost in a dream. While Geet, she stood paralysed with this new assault. Her emotion running wild, as was his passion to rediscover the woman in his arm.
A/N: OMG I'm treading on unknown territory, this is too much for my innocent mind. You better appreciate it lol
