Before getting into IB , Just wanted to share a personal experience.

A while back I saw a few grey stands of my hair.. althoughh I am far from being into vanity. It was bothering me a little, I causally asked my husband if I should start colouring my hair.

He was a bit confused & said do as you wish. I asked again for his opinion and showed my grey stands.

I said "doesn't it look bad?" He said with all honestly.. it doesn't look bad to him. It's just a part of growing up. I was so overwhelmed & instantly hugged.

What I am trying to convey is age, youth, beauty aren't that important in the grand scheme of events, but it can get the wisest of us. Unfortunately we women are more prone to insecurities related to looks & youth. All it takes is a few words from your loved one & the whole issue is water under the bridge.

Coming to IB, I really enjoyed this storyline. It was fun, realistic and light-hearted. Not to mention Aanika looked super duper adorable in bebe getup. I also enjoyed Shivaay's antics. It was refreshing to see him enjoy the moment. It didn't look like he was flirting with those girls. He simply enjoyed being a non sso celebrity. Being SSO must be really taxing. It comes with so many expectations, being punjabi pop singer was his way of taking a vacation from himself.

Anyways I thing I ve blabbered on for too long..

Will enjoy reading the discussion.

That said i agree with in real life insecurities like these happen ... even worse than these hapoen n they need to addressed n handled with utmost care n finesse. The sooner these are dealt with the better .

Shivika addressing their insecurities is nice to lookfw to tomorrow but as i said before force fitting it into the current scenario totally seems so unnecessary.The whole track has been so out of character or i call it out of body experience for Shivay n Anika . This was never them n never will be .

The execution. Maybe it is me but since Friday I have been feeling pretty awful about how it is being delineated. The fact that I watched it on TV didn't help (horrible decision on my part😆 ) Is it the editing? Have they stretched this track beyond its scope? Or is it the fact that the moments are peppered randomly throughout the episode?

Even today I felt very put-off after watching the episode, I dunno why. Maybe it is just me or IB has gotten a little stale nowadays. And before people jump the gun and tell me that it's because I am biased towards a ship- nah. That isn't it.

Content-wise, some freshness is missing- it all seems so predictable and repetitive, there is no zest in the writing, IMO.

I'm happy they gave shivika this track. It's realistic. Nobody is wrong or right in this. It's natural for Annika to feel all this, even if she did have a family. The fact that she never had anyone is just a bonus for Annika in this case. Otherwise too, it's natural.

I liked how normal a husband Shivaay was in this.😆 Confused soul worried about his wife's sudden outburst. Really made me go 'Is Annika PMSing?' 😆

So, this is shivika's 1st serious fight? The typical husband wife argument. Congrats!😆

exactly, I did not feel that they have stretched it. If they had shown annika insecurity just after one episode when those aunties told her things first time then it would have looked so unreal

I'd like the CVs to show us more such tracks for shivika. Not insecurities specifically because those will get repetitive, but shivika overcoming problems between them- not an external problem. Love how shivika are being explored this way. :)

Angel very good post. Agreed with all your points.😳 I was little sceptical about this track but today when I watched the episode it was actually good. And I can't side anyone. Both are right at their places. Somehow today Anika got hyper. Maybe she was just quiet understanding let it go types but somewhere in the corner everything was piled up and it just burst out today. I felt today was just a normal husband and wife fight which happens with most of the people. Shivaay being clueless was also normal. He himself dint get to know wat was happening. Both of them were in characters and no OTT.

Also I don't understand y there is problem in Shivaay being sorry in tomorrow episode. What is expected then? If he doesn't then he is again blamed that he is being tadibaaz ego bhandaar. What do you want him to do? He is just behaving like a perfect husband who is just comforting his wife and not manaoing . Both are poles apart.

Anyways my POV 😳
