I must admit, I started watching the show only for Vikram Singh Chauhan as I really am not a big fan of supernatural shows. But, EDT is turning out to be a compelling thriller and the episodes are getting better and better.
The best thing about this show is that you are not sure of anyone's motives.
Is Vyom, really the loverboy hero who only wants to protect the girl he loves and bring her memory back. And Vyom's father Rajan? Why is he so desperate for Sharanya to become well again? Does he have an ulterior motive?
And of course our poet ghost? Is he good, is he evil? Does he want to harm Sharanya or protect her from Vyom?
Today the episode was all about flowers...Stargazers.
Vyom not knowing what Sharanya's favourite flowers were was really shady but then him trying to do his utmost to get them for her was endearing.
Unfortunately he couldn't find them but to his shock, Sharanya's room was filled with them. But again, he lied when Sharanya assumed he had sent them. Was it to protect her like he told his dad later on, or was it because he wanted to get into Sharanya's good books?
But the flowers unnerved and scared Sharanya. She smelt dead bodies and in her fear was nearly run over until it was Vyom again who saved her.
And against medical advice, Vyom insisted he would take Sharanya home and look after her himself if need be. And again you soften towards his earnestness...how can he be lying about his love?
But Vyom and Rajan's conversation was suspicious. Rajan told Vyom to make sure to keep Sharanya away from the things they wanted to keep her away from as they had lost her once and they didnt want to lose her again. What exactly did Rajan mean? And Vyom seemed to understand what his father was saying. Did they have an ulterior motive for getting Sharanya well again?
And finally when Sharanya does arrive home, we see the ghost has followed her. What are his reasons for pursuing her?
Every episode raises new questions and new theories.
So far all the actors are doing great. Vikram and Donal are really good and Amar Upadhyay as Vyom's father is terrific.
We may not have seen Namik properly yet, but Shiv's presence is felt throughout and his shayaris' are a great way to end each episode.
