Ranveer Singh may be the lead in Shekhar Kapur's 'Paani'

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has conceptualized a film named 'Paani' in the year 2015 but it was reportedly shelved by a leading production house. But it seems Kapur is definitely working towards making the film come to life. According to a leading media agency, Ranveer Singh may collaborate with the filmmaker for the latter's dream project 'Paani'.

There were also rumours about actor Sushant Singh Rajput being the initial choice for the role. The reports also suggested that Rajput had been waiting for the same for a long time. But unfortunately, after waiting for a year and a half, which cost the actor almost a dozen projects, the film was shelved, with no plans for its revival.

According to the reports of an entertainment website, the film 'Paani' was initially going have Hrithik Roshan in the lead, with subsequent reports of Vivek Oberoi replacing him. Then the reports of Rajput coming in started floating in and finally it is now Singh who may have actually bagged the role.
