I t's been exactly a week since Pari Hoon Main has gone on air and Rashami Desai plays a double role in the soap.. of a girl-next-door and the other, of a superstar. The actress, who's had a stint in Bhojpuri cinema was noticed by BR Films after Raavan in which she played Mandodari. Tube fantasy Desai claims that she has been offered many saas-bahu sagas but opted for this show because "playing a pari is much more exciting!" She has changed her name from Divya Desai to Rashami Desai. And she has lost four kilos. "I was a little on the plump side so I was asked to get into shape," she says. Desai is determined to maintain a strict- ly professional relationship with all her co-stars since she's new to the industry. She admits that Mohit Mullick and Karan Mehra are very friendly. Like most other telly actresses, Desai has her sights trained on Hindi films as well.
